That was more aimed at Trex than you Dan. He thinks he proved something with compairing two tanks...then he quit right there and assumed too much. Notice the comment "...but the results speak for themselves". When in fact there are inadeqate results and the do not speak anything at all. What they realy speak is his Flatline was malfunctioning. And he concludes its because its a Flatline. See?

            cphillip, down boy

cphillip did you miss your meds? Or perhaps you have difficulty reading. I clearly claimed NO expertise. "I'm not even going to pretend to know the reasons why . . " is exactly how I stated it. I am not making ANY assumption, rather I am stating the absolute fact that changing from a flatline to a hyperflow solved my problems immediately. Again, I clearly stated that I don't know the reasons! I do, however, have some reason to think this is a flatline problem, and not just with my tank. Me and 3 of my friends have RTP/Xvalve'd mags. 3 of us had 3000psi flatlines and 1 has a hyperflow. Only my friend with the hyperflow could "sweet spot", the rest of us got nothing no matter what output level we set. So, he disconnected his tank and we each tried it on our own guns. Immediately we could easily sweet spot. All 3 of us! We've all made the switch to the hyperflow and all are extremely satisfied. Am I saying that the flatline is a bad tank/reg? Not at all, just responding to a thread question with my .02 based on my limited experience. Isn't that the purpose of this forum?

            P.S. ALL flatlines suck!!!

my flatline was acting up when i first got it, but i changed the reg seat and its been great.

all around i couldnt ask for anything else in a tank.

My 2 cents... I aint got a single peice of paintball equipment that keeps working as well as my Flatline. Its had a few "replace this, grease that" issues, but never ever been a continuous problem. I've slapped that tank on 3 different markers, at 3 different input pressures. I never think twice about it.

their talking about recharge rate not air flow

You can't judge shootdown or recharge rate just by looking at your gauge. they aren't all that accurate, you know.
