I like this new one a lot better. The thinning of the middle makes it flow (that word has been thrown around a lot). However, something seems to be wrong. In the very first pic it looks like the "z" shape cut used to position the valve is straight. Is that an error, or will the final product have just a straight cut?

Other than that question, all I want to know is how much?

It also saves me a lot of trouble trying to find an Omega rail. Thanks again Tom.

          It does not work...

          Hello all,

          My humble opinion.

It does not work. It ruins the lines, classic lines, of the marker.

The body is round, but the rail is all over the place, it does not look good at all.

And this rail may fit any body, but won't work on Emag/RTP.
Why use the drop in pin? Go to the RTP pin and sear, it is the best you have to offer, and quality is what we expect, then it works on ALL mags.

Also, the rail is a thing of the past Tom. It was when you were integrating a Stainless tube to a trigger frame. Get rid of the rail! Go with a integrated body/rail system as your Xmag! It is a better solution and removes tolerance errors, looks cleaner less parts etc... The rail is past, move on...

Well, it's not my favorite rail. I don't like how the ASA and the rail go together, the tabs sticking out and the whole U shape on top of the asa, maybe if was flat, who knows, but I will say it's a hell of a lot better then the original rail, but not perfect. BTW, I may have missed this, but is this supposed to replace the rail on stock mags?

Ok, I still don't like it. Yes, it's better than the old rail, but still not quite all there. The body still does not fit right. It looks like you are trying to put a round peg into a square hole. If you look at the front wings and how they come up to meet the body, that does not look bad, you need to keep that idea the entire length. As for the ASA, that has to be changed. Those two things fit like the black glove on OJ. Please do something with that, it looks like the ASA is going to snap off. Also, someone talked about using a threaded sear pin. I am a big supporter of this as I think that was a big improvement over the drop in pin.

I REALLY LIke this rail. I think I liked the last one a little more though. It's going to be lighter. I like the adjustable foregrip possition.... Sure it's like a round peg in a square hole, but that's just the nature of the mag ;-)

I think I need to start collecting parts for anotehr mag.... I have the love again. And finally there's something truely NEW to build. (it's stunning that my 95 micromag was still up to date untill some very recent developments....)

i too am with teh people who still think you should give the contouring the rail with the curves of the body a try. looks nice, but its true, it looks like a barrel sitting on top of shelf. not even the old rails were like that

totally true, I really do want anything except the stock rail, it's just too plain, yet the other rails (rogue rail) and stuff just seem too big, this design seems great and would keep the compactness look of the mag stay. probably the only reason i wouldn't buy an x/emag is it is a tad bit larger. so PLEASE produce this rail even if there are people who don't care for it.
