i like tictacs hit the nail right on the head, when a kid is offered pretty much anything, he/she will accept it, for those that bought their markers with their own cash, more power to ya, to those that had them bought by their parents, dont complain about it, just enjoy what u have. There is to much stuff going on in the world today to worry about how a 14 year old kid got an x-mag and what not

if youve been brought up with your parents buying you stuff, thats the way you will think that everything works. But if you have been brought up to buy things for yourself, thats even better, as thats the way life works.

im now 18, and have the laptop i am typing on, my truck, e-mag, tribal, insurrance, cell phone bills, internet bills, paying for college, and i have paid it by working. i hated the kids at my old HS that had their parents just go out and buy them everything, but at the same time, i think its great. they have no idea the value of a dollar, and when mommy and daddy are not arround for them anymore, they will most likely fail in life, because they have never had to earn any of it. so instead of complaining, kick back, and smile, cause one day it will come up and bite them right in the arse.

Thats the spirit Joez. You appreciate it more when you know the sacrifice. But you can also see that those who do not work for it are not your enemies. They just do not know. So in fact you realize the ADVANTAGE you realy have over them. No jealousy. Just the facts. Be down with your bad self for knowing that! :)

I am doomed to failure because my dad buys me the things i ask for as long as they are reasonable. Only in paintball is their moaning and groaning about kids getting support from their parents. In hockey almost none of the kids buy their own equipment. It was the same in lacrosse. Strangely I never hear whining about this in any of these sports. OMG he has a a $500 pair of skates and a $130 hockey stick and his parents paid $1000 for him to play 4 months of hockey he is probably going to be a failure in life. If a kid is serious about a sport there is no reason for a parent not to support them monetarily.

That is also a good point 845. There are two sides, if not more, to every story. Live and let live I say. Everyones situation is different.

I agree that it is somewhat wrong for a parent to by a newb an Angel just because they want one, but I can honastly say while my parents haven't paid for any of my PB stuff I wouldn't have been running the only local paintball store at 17 if it wasn't for them. I am giving my 11 year old brother ither a B2K3 or an Outkast autococker, but I am justifing it because he has played since he was 6, and he can't get a job to pay for a gun he deserves

i dont mind kids that have 1500 dollar guns that was bought by their parents. but what gets on my nerves are those kids have have 1500 dollar guns bought by their parents who BRAG about it and think they are better than everyone else. i mean im 15 and bought my own equipment and my parents pay for my paint and entry and what not, but i limit myself to how much i play(several times a month) so i dont burn out their wallet. i appreciate everything they give me and hopefully one day i can repay them with something they will cherish and appreciate.

I'm 16 and I took out a loan, and am starting to market my own gun. I can have as many high end guns as I want now because I commisioned them all.

i just hate kid who get good guns, but suck horribly. I hate it even more when all they do is talk talk talk about there gun and what upgrades they got.

What i do like is bunkering the kid at the tourny with the angel with my mag i milled (and payed for, only 40$ at first cuz it didnt work) myself. oh yeayuh
