I've been thinking about this all day and I think it would be neat if somehow someone could make velcro sleaves for the tubes. I dunno if this would be TOO expensive, but it would be THE best solution to all the fumbling around going on with the dang tubes. If would have to be a tight fit so the tubes don't slide out. as they won't have any way to latch them in.

Also I like that idea by doc, but the biggest issue I see with that is that the tubes have to be rotated 180 degrees to drop the balls into the marker... it's a waste of precious time. I guess what really matters though is what would take longer... 180 degree rotation, or poping the caps of of the tubes?

Has anyone seen how to make tubes with "attached" caps?

I have pics of some I made, but I can't attach them on AO right now. They are an easy, and cheap way to keep from loosing the green caps...

I'm sure velcro sleeves would be fine, in fact you could probably put rubber bands over them to make them snug up against a tube a little. I'm thinking I'm still going with the adhesives though with a little rubber band action.

They used to make the 10-round tubes with these black tops that would still be attached to the tube when removed. I couldn't find those anymore, but I figured I'd glue string or a nylon tie end onto them and do it that way.

My observations of Doc's pack are:

      1. Still looks a little floppy to me. Maybe that's just my perception.

      2. No caps means no protection against spillage when you pull the tube off. I'm assuming that the elastic on there has to be somewhat firm to keep the tube up in there. So in a hurry, you yank a tube off a little too hard, and some paint pops out. Plus if you have like sweaty pits like me, it might get into the material and then the first few balls in the tubes wind up a little... how should I say... out of spec? Dunno if this is possible or not, I was just noticing some condensation in my own tubes from the last time I played (in the rain).

      3. Putting the tubes back in might not be much fun, although it might be easier to put them back in upside-down. Either case, if you do this, I'm betting it's almost a two-handed job. Yes yes, I know, toss the tube. That's ok I'll hang onto my tubes.

      4. I prefer the bulk of my paint to be carried on my back. Personal preference.

      Definitely not on the A-Team.
