    heres my opinion on it..

If your a front player or have a facination with snap shooting get a HALO

If your a back player OR want to shoot nice long strings of paint then get whichever you like, tho i recommend the HALO

The thing that makes ME choose the halo is the fact that for snapshooting, the egg feeds as fast as a good ol revvie.. The evv has NO constant pressure feeding balls into the paintballgun, save gravity. The impeller is NOT forcing paint into the gun until AFTER you have started firing, causing the first ball or so to be GRAVITY FEED at 11ish BPS... Back when i had my egg, it wasnt really hard at all to outshoot the heck outa it not to mention the lid broke while i was in the STAGING AREA (requireing me to reinforce the whole lid with superglue, after which it NEVER broke again =D)

im frightened that anyone would consider putting a halo on an e-spyder clone. The halo would cost about the same amount of money that makes how much sense?
save money, buy something that will shoot well, i.e. not an e-spyder clone.

eggo: cheaper, breaks more often, there is no weight difference between full halo and full eggo, i repeat NO DIFFERENCE. and do you really need an overpriced gravity feed loader? :)

thats because the evo holds about 50 more balls

honestly you cant tell the difference when you play anyway so i dont think that should even be a factor.
the only time i have had a problem with the weight of a gun i used was when i use a shocker. now thats heavy

no they dont, a full evo was i think 200, and the halo was at 275 i think, not much of a difference, and definite nothing horrible for teh benefits of a halo

                        what are you smoking???

an egg is 195 balls, and a halo can hold about 170.

please tell me that was a typo :o

When has that ever happened? A ball 'slammed' into the breech and breaking it. Have you felt the force of the halo? You can try whatever you want, but you will not break a paintball on the force of a halo. You could put a spike under it and it wont do anything. And just suppose the ball WOULD break like that, imagine what the gun itself would do to the ball when it is fired.

And detents? You have to have some crappy detents for that to happen. Those are pretty rare cases, and I have only ever personally seen that happen with my tippman 98 (but not my friends, he uses a halo with those puny detents and it works great)

                            Halo all the way.

But also realize, cheap electro blowbacks firing fast tend to chop no matter what. A HaloB would reduce it by far the greatest amount, but think of your erex "short stroking" when you hit the switch two times really quick (in one pull). Most software wouldnt fire the solienoid twice if its some ridiculously close bps, but yours would. And therefore nothing can feed it that fast. But a HaloB would reduce that as much as it could

Heh, that friend would be me... ripping on an RT Tippmann, it's RIDICULOUS how fast that thing will shoot if you can sweet spot the trigger... and the halo has never failed to keep up.

Additionally, I've outshot my friends' ricochets on their cockers. Slap on a halo, keeps up beautifully.

Some people are concerned about weight. DON'T BE. Like someone already said, it's comparable to an eggo, and the way the weight is positioned in comparison to where the feed neck is creates a nice balance on most markers. Anyway, it's really not all that heavy.

Price? It's worth it. Buy one used if you have to, Odyssey (the people who make halos) customer service is top notch. If anything goes bad, send it in to them and they will get it back to in perfect working order in record time. However, I personally have never had anything go wrong with my halo, except a broken lid (and even that was from being shipped in terrible packaging from somebody I bought it used from).

Yet another reason to pick a halo over an eggo: It doesn't look like a piece of crap!! The eggo is like... bleh... whereas the halo is like WHOA!!

Can you think of any other reasons why eggos are "better" than halos? I'll be back this afternoon to shoot you down. :)

i know its odd putting a halo on a spyder clone, but this is all i got for the next 3-6 months, untill I can get a job (winter is comming, I dont have a permit yet, no car, and only a bike) so ima wait untill after winter to get job, the hopper as i found out, will be a xmas gift. Im hoping I can get the halo. but this halo will be for most of my guns in the future too, like an automag rt pro for example (saving to get one)
