I have nothing against cockers or Eblades, but if you're going to get one, don't waste your time with the Orracle. I've seen and shot high end cockers, and to me the Orracle wasn't really up there with them (felt almost identical to a black magic, which is good, but you pay a couple hundred more and get nothing)

If you're going to get a cocker go with Freeflow, Shocktech or Eclipse. You'll get a lot more for your money.

By the way, has anyone else noticed how conceited Bud Orr is? At first it was "Orracle" and then people must not have noticed his name was in there so they made it Orr-acle, and now every single freaking WGP product has something about "Orr" in it. (Worr Blade, Worr-Lock, Army of Orr, etc)

But that said, I'd still get a Viking. Cockers weren't even meant to be semiautos, much less sear tripping electros.

It seems that all of you would rather have a viking. The only reason i wouldnt get a viking is at my local paintball shop the guy there said that you pay more for the name than the gun. I was set on a viking but then he said go cocker. Thanks for the advice.

Well I pick eblade because IMO its faster, no kick, nice lcd screen, and I just like the features.

The viking is sorta on the heavy side, have to boost up the debounce settings for it to really rip. Its really fast but I think eblade has it beat on BPS.

This is all IMO so don't flame me.

No flaming here, but this is my counter:

I don't know why everyone thinks eblades are so fast. I have played with one a few times, and they are fast. But not Viking fast. Vikings also have hardly any kick. If you want to reduce the miniscule kick they have, break it in and lower the lpr.

IMO LCD screens are nice, but they are also just one more thing to break.

A teammate of mine owns an E-bladed black magic and an unmilled viking. The viking is slightly lighter than the cocker. He used to love that cocker, I don't think I've seen him shoot it in two months now.

Right now, I have verified a short string of 17 bps over the chrono with my Viking. That is without ANY bounce at all. I am pretty sure I can turn the debounce down 2 or 3 more ms, and still not get any bounce.

And last but not least, I don't think an eblade can beat it on bps. Think about it, due to its closed bolt design, the eblade would have to perform 3 functions faster than the Viking performs 2 functions to complete a full cycle.

Your best bet is to try both. I own a Viking and a Cocker right now, but I prefer the Viking. The Cocker isn't a bad gun, but the Viking was designed with speed in mind. You may also want to look at Matrixes if you haven't already, they combine some of the better features of both guns, and have very few faults at this point (as opposed to two years ago).

ok, so you dont listen to all these people telling you to get vikings and even somebody who owns both and still said the viking was better, and you end up taking the advice of somebody who said you are paying more for the name of a viking than the gun itself???? gimme a break! like 1/2 the paintballers out there still dont even know that aka exists. you really think you are paying for a name that doesnt exist in half the paintballers' minds???? at 745+20 bucks for eyes you get a MUCH better gun than an average ebladed cocker(900-1200). that guy at your shop told you that you are paying for the name of a viking and not a cocker? he has some problems. whats sad is i guarantee he hasnt owned a viking and probably doesnt know a damn thing about the guns.

truth is vikings will waste any cocker in any category of performance. they are faster(fastest guns out there right now), they have better boards(WAS), they have better eyes, they are definitely more air efficent(2000 shots per 68/4500 fill), and they are without a doubt more reliable and require no maintenance at all. it really is no contest. if you are concerned with looks and weight, you can spend 1200 bucks on a fully loaded immortal or featherlite viking that will probably weigh less than an e-orracle anyways and it will look just as good too. so you can still get that e-orracle, but if you were smart you would make the wise decision and get a viking.

I don't get why everyone thinks vikings are so fast? My friend had one and I couldn't walk it at all...The trigger was so heavy. yea it was short, but it was very heavy at the same time. With the eblade its short and light.

I would say shoot both then make the decision.

It doesen't take much to get a viking trigger really short and Light. Just take the spring out of the trigger or cut it shorter.

I have a Razorblade with no spring, and it is set so short and light you can barely touch your finger to it and it will fire.

I don't have the fastest fingers, and I can walk it like nothing else I have tried.
