Doooh! My kid is not all that smart....

Today he was using the Equation for the second time. He had problems getting it to crono last time up he told me. So he goes in and resets up the Level 10 last time in the RTP so he can crank up the velocity some more and finaly gets it up close. Gets by for that day I guess. But this morning I check out the marker and have to completely reset up the level 10 to get it working. And so he goes out to the field with it and same problem! So this time he just switched to the Edge kit and all is fine for the day.

He gets home a few minutes ago and I ask him how it went. He tells me he had the same problems with the Equation kit as before and fixed it by getting the edge kit out...and so I ask him AGAIN what insert he used in the Equation. He doesn't seem to know....so finaly he admits he doesn't know how to change them in the Equation kit. So I unscrew it to show him and THERE IS NO INSERT IS IN THERE!!!!


Doooh!!!!!! He was trying to shoot the thing with no insert at all. And in fact must have played the last time with it with no insert at all in the kit! No wonder he would not get up to 280 fps! Suprised it shot at all!

Well you gotta admit though that he has learned enough about Mags to set one up to overcome that no insert and get it to shoot at almost field speed. Now that took some doing!

Well he admits later he got too rushed to bother to size his barrel but then forgot later he had not and figured it was the set up. It was a new vavle in there. So he put two and two together and ended up with five!

i know that every one in here has gotten rushed or frusterated and done sumthing stupid, i did it today actually, i took apart my valve and lost the backing washer, who knows how it happened but i just wasnt paying attention, we all do it, its no biggie

Hahahaha, wow, I wish I was there to see this. I was even out there today to see if the team was playing (I was out of town and couldn't check my email). I saw him there, waiting to see if anyone else was going to show up, but since the team didn't come, I figured I could get some work done. Guess I should have stayed!

I am however impressed he was able to set up the level 10 enough to overcome the HUGE barrel he was using though. I mean that was rather impressive. And I guess in his defense he had never used that Equation before those two times.

But he should have not assumed paint size in the first place. And would have discoved it sooner if he had been properly checking his paint size.

I think it was just a group of High School kids out there today Speed. Germ is wanting to put a high school three man team for Gold Dragon together. So they met today out there for the first time and played some.

But I too have forgotten to turn my air or my revy on. Learned the hard way.
