I think Panther would be cool.

It could still be marketed as "built on RT" technology. Although I feel more needs to be done to show the superiority of the RT reg over the rest in the market. It is my understanding from a post Miscue made in another thread that the Emag tops out at about 20bps due to the time required to fully cycle the plunger style solenoid. That to a certain extent puts the AGD line at disadvantage in the "speed wars" that are the new marketing tool of the industry. We (anyone who's seen the dyno) know that it doesn't matter how fast a marker cycles if it has drop off (which all regular regs will) so with the RT/Emag you might only get 20 per second - but they'll all be the same. With all of the others they may CYCLE at 30+ CPS but if shooting paint they're going to start dropping off way before that. Somehow that has got to get more widely publicized.

Anyhow, I think the name change, along with some more "head to head" marketing might be a great new direction. I thin AGD likes to stay out of the muck with the other guys - but the kids who read the magazines don't get the reason why.

how bout keepin the Mag and having the name Panther. Like the ULE Panther Mag. Sounds like a limited edition mag, but with the Mag part included in there people will understand it has quality written all over it.

You know you get the Eclipse E-blade and the Nexus Eclipse E-blade, when there is not that much difference really. But people go for the Nexus version cause it sounds cool but the name Eclipse allows people to understand what they are getting into. If they advertised it as a Nexus cocker and didn't mention the Eclipse side of things do you think as many would have been sold?

Ok, how's this for a lineup based on the big cat family:

Classic valve w/ LX - Wildcat
Gotta keep a CO2 compatible gun in the lineup. I'd say go to a ULE body and an aluminum valve body too, but stick with a basic rail and a 45 composite grip. Keeps things less expensive, but kills the reputation of being heavy and chopping at the intro level.

            Tac-one w/ LX Classic - Lynx
A lot like the Wildcat, but with more of a 'woodsy' feel.

ULE w/ Xvalve, Intelliframe - Panther
Incorporates the best of AGD's mech tech.

            Tac-one w/ Xvalve, Intelliframe - Tiger
Another camoflaged cat for the woods, a bit more fierce than a Lynx.

            ULEMag - Jaguar
A lot like a Panther, but hella fast.

            Tac-Emag - Cheetah
            Electro speed with woodsball adaptability.

            XMag - Lion
A little heavier, but the flagship. References the Lion logo.

Gotta stay away from Puma, Bobcat as they're both former ICD guns.

Panther sounds awsome. but when i think about panthers I imagine a black cat prowling the feild wating to pounce on someone. a black ULE mag would fit the name perfectly but how bout all the other colors. I cant really relate the word panther to my all chrome/nickle ULE mag.

Never the less with the names given so far i would still go for panther. light agile and ready to pounce in less than a heartbeat.

These are the ones i like. the rest i wouldnt change. even these im kind of reluctant to accept. But i know change is hard. But this is a changing world changing markets and we have to keep up with the times.

Microsoft has different names for all the operating systems, as does intel when they do their prototyping...

I have a tingle in my brain upon the name Griffin... Was/Is there not a marker out there somewhere by the same name?

ACI's Griffin was an electrified F4 Illustrator, IIRC.

Can we stay away from the animal names?

Ya know... where all the popular paintball guns are made.

Although putting your name (Bob Long) in your guns name and then calling it the "Intimidator" is about as gay as giving your gun a Furry name, so I guess it doesn't matter what ya call it. Stick with the Mag name.
