AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
Re: My idea for a "non-Mag" name for the ULE eMag..
Originally posted by DiRTyBuNNy I've been thinking about this long and hard about something Tom had said earlier...about coming up with a "Non-Mag" name for a lot of his products..to go in a different direction than having everything be -Mag extension...and after really putting some serious time into a new name I settled on something I really can't take credit for (other than the idea of bringing it up again...not like I get any credit for the stuff I've made before..)
I think AGD should resurrect a name from their past...and call the new ULE eMag the Panther (just like the prototypes from the pre-automag classic development days)...it's been over 10 years and AGD has finally produced a marker that lives up to the Panther name. I know a lot of people are going to say it's stupid or that it's sacreligious to call a mag something other than a mag but I think it's an idea that may be long overdue. With the new scenario marker being called the Tac-One it's time for AGD to switch over to real names for the markers.
You could call it something like the "ULE Panther" or marketing material with "AGD Panther with X-Valve technology" or something to that affect on it..just chew on it for a bit..
Hey, I agree %100.

Or just Kaye-M.A.R.T. for short.
if you really really think about the word "cocker" and how many people play with their "cockers".......
intimidator=pretentious
might as well call it the "look at me, i'm tough"
na i guess atleast intimidator has a better ring to it than that
matrix...you mean like the movie? what you're saying is i just bought into a gun that isn't actually there? but just a collection of binary code? true.
angel...(said with a lisp)come here sweety...you are suuuuch an angel
seriously though i do like the way they try to tie it into a higher power
im waiting for them to release their ultimate creation
"gOd"
impulse(buy)...whenever i think of impulse i think of the much slower speed the enterprise moves at when NOT at warp speed
shocker(the real shocker is that anyone bothered owning one)
the old shocker: "oh my god that guy's shooting a shoebox at us!!"
the new shocker: "is that a mag?!?" "no, i've shot one, it's definitely no mag"
although tippman is the guy's name...it doesnt make alright
all the tippman model names are militaristic...a-5...pro-carbine...etc
spyder...spider spelled wrong...clever? no
i have to say i do like Palmer's name choices though...
he named his guns after weather events... squall, typhoon, hurricane.... these are cool names... they make you think of havoc, mass destruction...GOD'S WRATH...
"havoc" would be a good name...hmmm or carnage...devestator? (oh ya like duke nukem)
rainmaker- this had promise because i like the idea of raining paint on your opponent, too bad it still kinda sounds wussy
bushmaster- um put this one next to "cocker" and then go wash your hands...thats kinda icky
automag- a really really cool looking real handgun that looks like the agd automag
back to the topic....
animal names have been overdone.
everything from tennis shoes to cars to computer components have used names like puma cougar panther rhino
the goat eating lizard had some merit though...
"Panther X" would be cool(since it has XValve).
wasn't Malcolm X involved with the black panthers?
hrm methinks this is a bad idea
automag- a really really cool looking real handgun that looks like the agd automag
i'd say the name is irrelevant. just call a mag- a mag
