a couple questions: Will there be an on/off switch on the frame. Does the WAS board have different firing modes or is it semi. And once again... i know its hard to say right now but how will the price be affected? thanks

Alrighty here is the latest.
We are using:
The switch from an Impulse (or one very similar).
The WAS board for a Viking, which does not have an LCD (for space concerns), but does have the ability to use eyes.
The CF Solenoid.
A Magnetic returned Blade trigger.
The big question is what kind of battery should we use?
We can maybe fit a standard 9v with the Viking board, but maybe not.
If not, would you guys rather:
a)Use smaller batteries which need to be replaced more often.
b)Use external housing for standard 9v battery.
c)Use external housing for rechargable battery (voltage TBD).
If we use choice A, we probably won't be able to use the LCD, as there just won't be room.
The external solutions are the most appealing, as they will allow us to use the Intimidator boards, and the LCDs.
What do you guys think?Ryan Shanks

b) just let us keep a 9v under our tank cover or something like that

yuck I don't think I would like that. Have something that is in the grip if it is feasable to get a good number of shots from that setup.xXhAppyAznXx "If I whiped and shot full auto, I wouldn't feel very skilled. Best solution: Use regular 9V in the frame, skip lcd.
Second best: alternative b.Comment

On second thought no LCD batt in grip

battery
battery in the grip please!!!
screw the LCD, its a waste of power, and space, and...and.... just skip the LCD, we can handle the complexities of programming through the trigger...
all we need is semi auto anyhow!
just bought a hyperframe......doh, guess I should have read you were not using the Hyperframe boards anymore :)

I would preferably keep the battery in the frame also. i would much rather use 9volts or rechargable 9 volts in the frame rather that a external setup. even if it meant no lcd. i say the the semi only option would be even better also. that way you do not need the lcd anyways.my feedback

WAS?
Sorry... not a WAS aficionado
The WAS boards used to have multiple modes when they first came out for Bushies and such I thought...
Anyhow, Semi is all we need....
I'm going to be so broke by the time I'm done looking through Nicad and Coolhand's stuff....

Speedy is correct.
As far as I know, the WAS boards that I am looking at are Semi Only.

I'd say no LCD and 9v in the frame.
If not, I'd say make your own foregrips specially designed to house batteries. Check out what hostage did on some of his boo-yah mags with rechargeable batteries. I'm sure you could put a pack together consisting of 6 AAA batteries, 2 triangles stacked on top of each other maybe.
I know regular off the shelfers are 1.5v, but I believe rechargeables are 1.2. So maybe you'd need 8.
Basically, if you can't fit it all in the frame and you decide you must have LCD, I'd make a dedicated foregrip, that holds how ever many batteries are necessary, and maybe the wire can run nicely through the rail have a hole drilled for it in a place that will be covered by the foregrip, then run through a groove, and it can come down next to the sear and run into the frame.
I dunno, I'm tired :)Comment
