FN303 used to prevent a suicide

I was bored and did a search on Yahoo about the FN303 and found this story from last Tues, Dec 9th. A quote, "Opelousas City Police used a non-lethal weapon Monday morning to prevent a suicide." :)

You can read the rest of it here.

For those of you who aren't aware, AGD developed and manufactures the FN303/M303 for Fabrique Nationale, which is a major arms manufacturer. The FN303 is the standalone version, while the M303 is a variant that is attached to where a grenade launcher typically goes on an M-16.

Here's a review a guy did on the XM303 (prototype version of the FN/M303.

Actually, it's bismuth. But either way, while it shouldn't kill someone, it's gonna mess em up damn good.

          where did they get this

The 12-gauge semiautomatic weapon is fed from a 15 round drum magazine and has a range of 100 meters.

from the judge in the WDP v Sp case.... " i find it significant that aside from a somewhat limited notebook produced by gaston, the four named inventors offer NO documentation of there work or there contributions to the conception or reduction to practice of the claimed invention"

Okay, that tears it. AGD needs to open a Florida Office and hire me to run it. I'm sure I could requalify for my TS Clearance if needed...all the fun simulator instruments I built at my old job in OK required it for the military stuff...

                DataPimp,

It is affectionatly called a "street sweeper" they were easy to buy about 5 years ago, but I have not looked recently. I am sure the ban on high capacity mags has caused this scatter gun to become pretty rare for average shooters. I have seen them when I was in the military. They were used for close-quarters combat.

I bet these things are really expensive.

They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.

you know you should give your sponcered teams a couple handfulls of those balls and the tear gas/pepper spray ones also....

works both as a demonstration of their effectiveness and gets the team some extra throphies. Maybe get AGD a new badboy immage

THis is all a joke of course, i do not wish to see anyone hit with these that dont REALLY need to be (i have many activist/protester friends, some who have been shot at by tippmans with tear gas paint).
Tom was the last of a now extinct breed, a breed of players who build a community, a breed of owners who gave to the sport never taking more than what they deserved. I hope to see you at the feild again some day....
