One cheap alternative that I would never accept, have it powder coated 'almost chrome.' Red Rider might even have the color.

search the internet for a company in Ny. called chrome specialtys (SP) I had some work done through them and it came out great and they worked fairly cheap concidering that the do actualy show chrome

Whatever you find out, post it here. Cause I have some parts that I need to have chromed. Not paintball stuff though.

i would suggest just buying a used chrome body, but if you want it plated go for it

Chrome mag bodies are supposedly chrome plated!! Buy one of those! Oh, and LOL to that nice conversation up there!
