I think we are on the same page just hanging on a small detail.

I agree that the "Blow back" description doesn't directly apply to the Timmy.I'm using that more as a "general" term uncompassing the idea of a stacked tube, linked bolt and hammer striker "type" design. The Spyders that the millenium bodies were built for are of this design and it was a simple progression from that to remove the "blow back" operated functions and add a ram/soleniod combination to replicate that portion of the guns mechanism.I agree that it's fair to call it a fully pnuematically operated system after that, but I don't think that changes the origin of the overall design.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Sound reasonable. It is nice to have an inteligent discourse without having it turn into a vitriolic and juvenile diatribe.
      Take care,

This thread is stupid. Ever try searching for the answer? I think this is just an excuse to bump up your post count, since you cant "POST WHORE" anymore. Falconguy used to ask ridiculous questions too, but he seems to have cut back. Good boy FalconGuy!

Asking "How does a timmy operate" seems like a better question. You own a annodizing company and you dont even know how a timmy operates? Not even the slightest idea?

What does annodizing have to do with "how a timmy or autococker operates?"... You usually have to send just the body parts anyway... as long as he meets tolerances why should he be concerned with the pneumatics?

well suicidal, it does look like youre post whoring. I mean, go do a search or go to a timmy forum to get info. Heck, you can even go to a local shop and try one out. You have asked a TON of useless questions, and really, to be honest, no one needed to know about you getting your parts stuck in your gun. Just thought I should say that, because it does kind of get annoying. Either way, now that you know our response, I hope you feel more well informed on your decision. Both are good. One is alittle pricey for me.

And automaggin, he doesnt own the cmpany. he doesnt even have anything to do with the company other than on the internet (which kind of scares me, but oh well). So yeah, just so you know...

Snyper. .. you have personaly shot them. Did you like what you shot? What else matters? Seriously. Short of telling me that timmies are made by 12 year old ileagal immigrants in L.A. sweatshops I'm not going to care much about what everyone else thinks provided I like the way the gun shoots. If you think a spider is just as good as a timi then go out and buy a spider and be happy.

Personaly odds are I will never buy a spider. Why? Quality. Pick up a spider and pick up a timmy.... the quality is not there on a spyder. Yes they are great beginer guns and I would be sad to see them off the market... but.. I'm not a beginer.. nor are most of us posting in this thread.

So far as timmies being overpriced... thats all a matter of opinion... People bashed be mercilessly when I purchased my 1st angel in '96. You spent $1200 on what? Its going to break when it gets wet... I dont trust anything with bateries... yada yada. I loved that gun and it shot well, soon folks figured it out. (Some the hard way ) Then I bought a LCD in 2000 and that set me back close to $1600 ... I'm thinking $950 for a Timmy is a steal. Sure the alias is more .. but give them a bit and they will come down.

Personaly I love my Timmy... it shoots great and I have very little money invested into it in comparison to alot of the other options out there.

i personally shot them and i liked it, but i havnt owned one and i don't know what problems there is or anything. i shot a spyder, for a beginner gun it's great but the spyder couldnt keep up with me. And the timmy feels and performs way better.

i asked stupid questions in the past. if you noticed a lot of my stupid questions are slowly disappearing. but i'm still a newb trying to learn. the body parts getting stuck in barrels was when i was in one of my hyped up medicated moods.
