dude... just put your wrench on the fitting, and bust it loose... you're not gonna hurt anything

hopefully, if the people at BBT have any brains at all, what they used was Loctite 545 thread SEALANT, which is red as well... but it'll come right out. if it doesn't budge? apply a little more pressure, cuz Loctite 271, while considered "permanent" strength, isn't really permanent at all.

No, but I have broken off a 90 in my valve before and then you need a nipple extractor. If you don't have one you have to run to Sears!
