I know where you are coming from Pete, although I don't shoot a mag. Before getting my Timmy, I had always wanted a mag (and still do) but when I talked to my shop owner about what I wanted (a mag) he just laughed and said that I would be better off with my Timmy. Now I feel as if he respects me less because I favored the mag.....

ULE Custom RT-Pro special that AGD is offering. THE best mechanical gun on the market today. Get it and enjoy slinging ropes of paint at your opponent.

as far as the ULT, the only problems I have heard about are the increased chances of short stroking, which you mentioned, and setting it up. The level 10 bolt and the ULT may require some extra tuning after you use it a bit. Actually, Cphilip just helped a guy not too long ago tune his level 10 and ULT, that thread should be around here somewhere.

But once you tune them and get used to the trigger pull, things should be great for you.

Yeah, just go out and have a good time. If you do that much, you've already learned the first point of paintball.
A good gun is no subsitiute for skill. And, make no mistake about it, a Mag can be a very good gun.
Just remember that 280 fps is 280 fps weather it is shot from a mag, Cocker, Timmy, Angel, etc. Just keep the groups tight and your hopper behind cover.

I shot an OLD RT and an E-Mag for about 3 years collectively. I now shoot an IR3 and am looking to get an A4. I seriously doubt I will ever own a mag again unless they do some serious redesign rather than the half arse buggy fixes. I am not saying that they are bad guns. Which they are not. If you buy used then you won't have to worry about resale value. Used is the only way to go if you decide to buy AGD. It will be cheaper and their guns last forever. Just make sure there are NO aftermarket parts on the gun. Will the mech mag "keep up"? Not a chance. With a stock trigger frame you will be hitting 10-11 bps. Neither of the two guns I owned were very effecient. The mag will be far better than your tippmann. I don't know what your budget is but resale on some angels is in the toilet right now. There's people selling IR3's for $650 all over the place. You can get a LCD for $450.

hmm didnt read your whole thread but is your tippman with the ebolt? rt trigger? or nothing? anyways if its with nothing how fast could you shoot it? with the rt turn it way up so its really reactive yet you cant sweetspot it and see how fast you can shoot...

now with the rt mag youll be able to shoot that no problem if not faster then what you were getting on the tippman sure you wont be able to match the electros in most cases but 10bps or even 12bps if your good is enough to keep the enemy down

well it seams to work for me anyways the rt pro will shoot faster then you ever can with no shootdown and with level 10 setup right will never or rarly break paint and you'll never have to worry about batteries except to power your rev or halo depending on what you get

                      well my 2 cents

With any double trigger frame, you can hit 13bps, or at least I did consistently. Just tweak the input pressure and make sure it doesn't run away. You will have a gun that would easily keep up with many electros that don't bounce or have cheater boards.

My tippmann has the ebolt on it and really rips. But I wanted something with a little higher quality. I'm getting the RT ULE custom from the agd online store. No doubt about it. And I absolutely agree that it is the player not the gun. However different guns are better for different players. I'm a frontman. The RT ULE mag is light, fast and small. It's prefect for me. I also thought of something else. I don't want to be asociated with those arrogant hotshot players that tote timmies and angels. I'm a mag man.
