    Viking vs. Intimidator

Ok i made the descision to get a Timmy....but then Squid just had to tell me about a viking, then classicmagger comes along and tells me about a viking also...

    AUHFUSAHDISAHAHIUDGLAKSH!

Ok... I don't know a lot about vikings so please explain to me why a viking is better. I don't need to hear anything about a timmy, i just want to get to know about the viking. (and how to make it look better would help also)

Big, clanky, and not just worth the money. Go with a timmy or A4.

viking in my eyes - efficient, bulky ( i dont like big guns such as cockers and 3 tubed bodies ), 3 tubes, fast, nice trigger, semi hefty?

timmy - light, i hear they break down every so often (supposedly lasoya carries like 9 as back up), fast, 2 tube like a spyder, feels like a spyder, the eyes are great, not as efficient but are very efficient compared to many

I do know the AO sig rules, I just want a free sig pic, that's all!

Yes we are. Ive shot and played with many of a Vikings and I must say Im not that impressed. They are quite large three tubes with a very thin tray like apperance at the bottom. When they shoot, I don't know if its just me, but it makes sort of a clank sound. I know they are very effecient, but this is just my opinion if you don't like it well, get over it

Also by cleford's account and many others Ive met with, their customer service lately hasn't been that great.

It looks like he wants an electro so I suggest two alternatives that are very well supported that will get alot of effeciency. Timmy and A4 fit that category. But a ULE-Emag would be very nice also...

heavy is good, heavy is reliable,
if it doesn't work you can always hit him with it...

vikings are not that heavy. you sound like they weigh like 10 pounds.. are you that out of shape that you cant lift that? vikings weigh only 2lbs 13ozs (last time I checked.)

having shot a timmy (tx storm) and owning a viking, id have to day go with a viking. you are already paying an absorbent amount on a timmy, might as well get a viking. you can get most milled ones for around ~1150. unmilled go for $850ish.

go viking. you wont regret it. i certainly didn't

When did I ever say they were heavy? I just said their profile is very large Sorta like a newbie on his first day popping out of a bunker(we all know our first time)

And hey for the longest time I toted around a Old Skool RT Pro with a Halo AND a steel 68/3000 tank. Try running with that setup on the down the tape!

It's funny how people come on here and say that brand "x" gun sucks and you should get brand "b" without anything to back it up. Here are some specs on the '04 Vikings that may change your mind about whether you still want a Timmy.

                  -WAS board and WAS eyes
-lighter than previous Vikings(2 lbs 10 oz)A4=2 lbs 5-6 oz
-fast (supposedly capable of 40 cycles per second)
                  -Lifetime warranty
                  -very efficient
                  -very low maintenance (angel-like)
                  -type 3 anno (very tough/durable)
                  -low operating pressure
-it is a tad bit smaller than a Matrix

some people don't care for the way they look, but have you seen the Immortal, Destructive, or Featherlight vikings?

I was (actually still am) in the same situation. I was checking out the 2K4 Timmy and that thing was sweet and light, but then I shot a guys 2002 viking with was and eyes. It was just so easy to rip on it was crazy.

                  Good luck

I would recommend a Dragun TES. While I'm sure that I'll probably get flamed for suggesting this, the TES is a quality made marker with many of the same features as an Intimidator:

                      Anti Chop Eyes
                      20 BPS stock board
                      Delrin Bolt
                      Damned nice milling
                      Similar operation.

For the price, $250 stock, I believe that the TES is the best deal in paintball today. You can even, at a later date, add "the One" kit to your TES and have a marker with the same function as an intimidator (LPR, Ram, etc).

Upgrades that you would want to consider would be:

                      Empire 4-Piece barrel kit
                      New Regulator

                      Here are some pictures:

Well, there you have it. I hope that you like my suggestion =) I pulled those pics from pbgear.com.

For the money the Dragon TES is prtty dam good. I got to shoot one and it was not bad; it was fast, nice trigger, and did not chop. Like tyrion2323 said it comes stock with eyes, inline, etc. You are getting alot of bang for your buck. I have a feeling that SuiciDal Sn Y p ER was looking at the higher end guns though.

Maybe if you're on a budget. A Timmy is still faster, better looking, higher quality, has a clamping feedneck, accepts .45 grips, much more adjustable, has better customer service, a superior eye system (break beam Vs reflective), and is fully electropneumatic (the One Kit's ram is still returned by a spring, like an EM1 or a BKO).

I guess looks are subjective. I'd take the look of a Dragun over a Timmy any day, myself.
