      ouch, that sucks

i am always hella paranoid about someone trying to steal my gun, but i guess i probably dont have to worry too much since i currently shoot a piranha, and if someone was gonna lift a gun at the local field they would probably aim for one of the many timmies lying around. unless they wanted my air system, which is a possibility.

but, having that many expensive guns stolen is horrible, i cant even imagine something like that. what else did they take other hten the cash and the guns? if i was just that, they must know ya well in real life, and be pballers themselves, which definatly narrows the list ( sry if somoene already said htis, i havnt read the whole thread )

sorry to hear about your loss.

First thing you need to to is post the pictures at all the pawn shops in the area. See if you can recover that way. A military buddy of mine got robbed in MS in about 93 and recovered all of his stuff and had the bad guy arrested that way.

        Good Luck

Thanks guys. Unfortunately this "nice" apartment complex has a bunch of 9-5'ers so they don't have people always around like a college apartment complex. As for other stuff stolen, here is an example:

I would have taken pics of the actual after math, but my digital camera got jacked too Looks like they got spooked before they got everything because my $700 tower speakers and $350 center channel were moved right next to the door but not taken.

I'm going to make up a photo of the 3 guns and take it to my local pball shop. I would almost feel better if they got jacked by paintball players, at least they would appreciate them. Its obnoxious that they'll not know what to do with them.

I would consider that a bad thing, because if someone broke in my house with me inside they'd be staring down the barrel of a shotgun, and believe me they wouldn't be leaving with any of my stuff. Safety first, home repair second

But that sucks you had all your stuff stolen. Call all the field owners you know of within the state and tell them to look out for it as well. Check eBay periodically and notify the pawn shops, maybe even newspaper classifieds.

You may also want to get a large breed dog, if your apartment allows it. (perhaps he'd make an exception due to the recent break-ins?) That should at least help deter any future break ins.

Thats what my mom said. I was like "yea, lucky for them." I don't know what they were thinking, I'm a martial arts instructor and have about a dozen random weapons lying around the apartment as well as real guns (which they didn't take). If I heard someone kick my door it in would be time to lock and load Or maybe I watch too many movies...

PS: In Texas you are allowed to shoot theifs if they are fleeing, even if it is off your property.

Just got off the phone with insurance.

So now my question is, how do I value them? They say "give us the cost to replace" but I'm like "yea, they are custom." The cost to replace would be way less than the market value. I'm thinking:

                      $600 for the red one
                      $400 for the blue one
                      $1000 for the eblade works

What do you guys think? I know they wouldn't sell for that (given the current market for mech cockers), but then again the evos were probably $1500 new each. I'm not sure I know what methodology to use on the pricing since unlike my stereo stuff I can't just go order a replica from a dozen stores.

i would do what it cost to have all that stuff done again to get the exact same gun that you did before with brand new parts.

wow, if you get a lot of insurance money you'll be able to get a really nice gun.

So I can honestly go to Besales and say "alright, quote me 2 splashed evolutions... $2,000? Ok." Even though I might be able to get $1000 tops if I sold them online since the market is so down for mech cockers? And then tack on $360 for my max flo, and another $1250 for my works eblade? I'll go back to my insurance and say "yea, I had $3600 in paintball guns stolen." Is that right?

                              Thomas

BTW: They did search for finger prints but apparently my very dusty stuff doesn't hold them well (I hate dusting).
