Which was the first electro to ever come out in paintball?

ya it was smart parts shocker. i remember when they unveiled it. they were like these are our nasa rocket scientists that have built the first electronic paintball gun.

well, if I remember correctly there was a thread kind of like this and the first electro was a homebuilt one on a mag I beleive, but it wasn't made public.

it was the PVI Shocker the first electro ever made i have one of the first ones in my basement

Actually, sp never built it. They just bought out PVI so they could have the first electro.

thats right, the PVI was the be all end all of markers when it came out, i think the rainmaker was the next electro after the PVI?

The rainmnaker was alright. A friend of mine used to have one way back and every one used to bash him for it but it was pretty fast and we all liked playing with it. It was the only BE gun I ever liked.

Could still get new rainmakers, in box anyways, from Garts in my home town maybe 2 years ago. When did they stop production, anyone know?

haha, i remember back in the day when the shocker didn't have an on/off switch. you had to open it up and unplug the battery just to turn the gun off. When the Impulse came out, Smart Parts got....umm... smart and added a switch to the shocker.

The shocker was the first electric paintball gun that was released... The Phantom "revolution" was an electronic semi that was advertised and in prototyping before the shocker.
