Sorry, but to sell there has to be some "hype" features. Low pressure, cool milling etc. This won't do anything for function, but will help sales.

I think you're right, mags are slowly moving back up in the paintball world. It probably has to do with super-sexy guns like the x-mag, but more so the introduction of ULE parts and LX. ULE and lx solved mags three main problems.

That's odd, I've always found that mags are relatively more expensive for what you get, regardless of new or used status.

What guns are you comparing against the mag in the cost area?

I love my mag, but I'm not kidding myself; I could have had a handful of other electros for the amount of money I put into this sucker.

      Definitely not on the A-Team.

as for the one step fowards 2 back.

I am sure Tom knows what he is doing. I mean if he hadn't a clue what he was doing, right now there wouldn't be an AGD. Tom's a very smart man, he know's what he's doing and we should trust him for making the right decision.

Yeah, it seems to work for JT - all they do is think up a daft trademarked name for every part of the marker and they get snapped up.

No more 'body' - instead it would be a 'genetically engineered valvemountsystem(tm)'

For 'valve' we could have 'hyperO2injektor(tm)'

Scatter around a bunch of stupid buzzwords and they'd be flying off the shelves :)

they have a good reputation now, but with the stopping of the E and X Mags, its gonna start downhill again - they're discontinuing their flagship marker for gods sake!

well from what ive seen on forums so far its accualy working in agd's advantage since other people think smart parts is directly causing them to stop making the guns and they read the full deal rather then hearing it and going imomgaomgogmomg AGD SUCKZZZZ NOWZ

Your right about that, that's why AGD does so much much business 'outside' of paintball, plus Tom holds various Patents and other secure business interests. If AGD involvment in paintball went away completely,he'd probably be just fine.

                  AO'ers, on the otherhand........

That only works if the product wasent designed correctly in the first place...

Out of all the aftermarket parts that came out for AGD guns not one in the 13 year period mags have been around has actually surpassed the performance of an OEM part.
Did you hear about the new european weapons contracts? France is going to make the wooden sticks Spain making the little white flags

                              YEP.

Sadly, that's one of the reasons no one buys a mag. Doesn't make sense to me either, but the upgrade "nazis" don't really care if it was designed well. They cant impress people with all the "cool" things they've done to it that way.

The bottomline is performance. But no one cares about the bottomline...which is why I love to play against them so much!
