AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.

I used 650 rounds all Saturday. I never emptied my hopper; the one pod I did carry out with me to the field was never pulled out of the pack; it's still sitting in my living room full of paint right now.
There's been talk in other threads about the "future of paintball" and blah blah blah, and oddly enough, there seem to be signs that we're no longer going down the same path as before. These games can be won without huge volumes of paint. It appears that X-Ball and NPPL are trying to get rid of the hardcore "back players". I immediately noticed this when I walked the X-Ball field for the first time.
Maybe we're coming out of the age of trench warfare.
I'd be interested to see how your coming to this conclusion. Is it merely yourself perceiving patterns, or is there something that has been done to encourage this?
To give you another X Ball example, our guys in the College X Ball matches at World Cup a few years back would go through 5 - 6 case a match in one full game period. And thats with 10 guys on deck. Five playing at a time. Generaly a game in X Ball does not use that much paint. Thats how much paint we would load up and stack pods for. Not all was used. I think about 4 cases maybe were actualy shot up. Less than half a case per man. And those are long game periods. And hour of play.
AGD, where we are so good we can do it with only ONE tube!
Since I was'nt there Sunday I only went through a case. I bought 2 and pretty much gave it to the team. I would love to have some of that paint now. I'm flat broke and it shot pretty nice.
Ummm about a case on Saturday, that includes chrono, messing around, etc. Was having gun problems and only shooting about 10-13 bps when laning off the break.
Sunday was a diferent matter. Thanks to SkyBoySurfer, Brian and Curtis (Thanks for the Sear pin!) I was ripping strings 16-17 bps. Went thru a case in the first half of the match. Bought another case and wound up sitting/coaching more on the second half and wound up taking 3/4 case back to AZ with me.

Which conclusion?
It looks like they're trying to kill off "back players" by reducing the bunker sizes. In our specific layout, the only "safe" bunkers were the two canister bunkers at the backs of the field.
I think other people have noticed this as well, in case you have a problem with it coming from me. I was looking at this guy's page a short while back. Look for "Endangered back guys".
