It shouldn't be allowed, first of all its dangerous to the refs. Secondly if you are anything better then a newbie, you should be able to play without blind firing.

i have to say the worst blind fire i have come across was with a birthday party .. those kids killed me ... i hate reffing bday parties ..

its completely dangerous ...nothing like getting blasted by some little kid thats less then 5 feet away from you and he is too scared to look out his bunker

Where did the Old AO go?

i've seen plenty of people blind fire, and i've been the target of numerous blind firings... despite the fact that its one of the most emphasized rules at my field - NO BLIND FIRING!

i've been shot in the back of the head about 6 times in a row because some little **** decided to blind fire... and well, guess who was sitting in the bunker in front of them, leaning out to shoot... me :o

i've also taken a nice grouping to my arse when i was running to a different bunker... once again, due to blind firing

the best part is when they see me turn around and shoot them back!, and to my advantage, i'm friends with all the refs at my field, and the could give a rats arse if i shot the person on my own team who just shot me... unless its a game of spy

True "blind" firing is pointless and dangerous.

There can be useful blind firing which reqires 2 people. One back player guiding the shots of a player in front of him who can not see where the shots are impacting. It can be VERY effective when the field layout is fully explored and used properly.

I don't get what's wrong with that. I can understand why people wouldnt want blind firing if there were spectators around but what if it's in a netted area? You know where the guy is so you just stick ur gun out and you fire a few shots.

Is there a good reason why blind firing is not allowed?

maybe the refs are just scared of being hit...
As refs, we get hit ENOUGH while doing paint checks and running through firing lanes. We don't need more trigger happy dopes just shooting erratically.

If we take a hit during a game cool, but blind firing through my eyes is like putting a target on my chest. Those damn balls ALWAYS find the refs before the actual target.
