    All the flavors of Vikings?

The new gun bug has bitten me recently, after having problems with my X-Mag.

There seems to be a ton of different vikings, but they are hard to find.

If there is another thread like this or somehwere else where they are all at let me know.

seeing as how AKA Is no longer producing the viking or excalibur, the prices on markers have gone up a bit.

for unmilled 04 vikings, you can check out www.dbnaintball.com or www.ontargetentertainment.com

OTE also is home of the immortal viking.

JMJ concepts is home of the crusader and featherlight viking. you can check them out at www.jmjconcepts.com

Destructive Customs is home of the Desctructive Viking (http://fallingaway.com/img/dc_viking/Gallery/). If you want the info to contact Alan from DC, PM me and I will give it to you.

The Immortal looks pretty good. I need to find some better pictures.

AKA stopped making their guns? I thought they just had an injunction or something.

Here are my suggestions for new markers:

        Hybrid Quest

        Evil Omen

I know that lots of people want the most expensive marker, but these guys will do you fine. I am sponsored by Hybrid, so I can get great deals on Race Bladed Quests, if you want. I own an Omen, and I'm IN LOVE WITH IT!

not that I am aware of. as it stands right now, AKA is no longer making the viking or excalibur. this last production run will be the last of the viking and excalibur. so, pick one up while you can. also, check the AKA forums on PBN, they have thier own F/S forums there for selling markers and such.

tyrion2323 I would definately not get a cocker. I am not a tinkering. The omen is just completely ugly to me, and I don't care for the design either.

I find it quite funny that a player sponsored by hybrid came and posted this crappy cockers in a thread pimping his sponsors crap to a guy who clearly wanted to know about a viking... not some cocker clone.

Now... as for vikings... personally, I like the plainness of a loaded 04... www.ontargetentertainment.com ... its what I have. VERY VERY fast, efficient, and doesnt chop. ( I have one)

The same company has some immortal 03's in stock, which are argueable a bit better than the 04's. They look VERY nice.

Go to www.pbnation.com and look in the AKA forum as well, and check out the destructive vikings. They will be VERY hard to get...

JMJ also makes the featherlite, which is personally my favorite aftermarket vike. Sorry, no URL for this one, just do a google search.

Dont let the fact that they are out of production deter you from getting one. They will still be covered by lifetime warrenty, and are, in my opinnion, the best gun out there. EXTREMELY fast (thanks WAS) , dont chop, (Thanks WAS), EXTREMELY ULTRA efficient, (Thanks AKA), plus a slew (sp?) of other great features.

EDIT: As for them not making them, apparently your a bit late in this news. Smart Parts won there suit against AKA, somehow, and AKA is forced to discontinue there marker line. They still honor the lifetime warrenty, and stock replacement parts. Rumor has it that they have something in the works to get a viking II or something-or-another into production soon... we will know when AKA is allowed to explain exactly what happened.

                  Try looking at

Aaron has created a site and that has all of the variations of Vikings made. Some, the PBX in particular, are no longer made.

AKA did not lose the lawsuit exactly (semantics I suppose). They could not win it so they admitted no wrong doing and agreed to stop making their electro markers (Viking and Excal). They were pretty pissed but took a stand that they were not going bow down to SP.

You might also want to note that they have raised the price on all new VIkings by $100 to try and recoup for legal fees and the fact that they are no longer going to be doing a whole lot of business in the near future.

You would think with all that money players donated FOR NOTHING would cover it...

                      Here are the different types.

                      Plain ol' vanilla viking:

                      Immortal viking

                      Featherlight viking

                      Destructive viking
                      Check the other guys post

                      Highlander viking
                      No clue

The excalibur is no longer available.

I have owned an 03 viking, and 04 viking, and currently own an 04 excal. They are all fantastic guns, though I did have some issues with the detents on the 04 vikings. Performance wise, they will all similar, i.e. 04 unmilled shoots the same as the 04 immortal. Its all a matter of looks and weight. I like the featherlights the most, followed by the immortals.

I would definately recommend getting one. But don't write off the X mag after one day of issues. The viking is an exceptional gun, but there have been days where I have had severe problems, such as the day I first used the 04 with the new detents. Those kinds of things just happen with paintball guns.

Squid, honestly I cant believe ANYONE just donated money. Heck, AKA is a for-profit company. I make it a policy not to donate more to them then I have to. After all, I have already "donated" over 2k to them

but note that all custom milling except for the DC is done by JMJ Concepts.
