    St!ffi barrel impressions...

Well, my team Routine Destruction just got a Site Mfg. sponsorship. For those of you that dont know, they make the St!ffi barrel. I got it in the mail today, and I must say, this barrel is so light, it simply boggles the mind...
I have yet to shoot it, which I will hopefully do tomorrow if it doesnt snow. The inside looks like glass, and the outside is a dull grey/black combination. Whats weird is, this one doesnt have the normal muzzle break. It simply has ALOT of holes up the sides. Once again, this thing is unbelievebly light, and when I shoot it, I will get back to you all about performance. Very nice packaging by the way, very clean and well delivered.

Cool, have fun with that. We recently got a Titanium Paintball quazi-sponsorship, hopefully we'll be able to try out some of that stuff. :)

      I got a Stiff-tip from them initially.

Its very impressive, and the "mind boggling" weight is well worded.

The tip is a little bit quieter, for you scenario guys.

Its a bit sharp (mine is old style), so dont go jab an air bunker with it.

The people at Site are awesome to say the least, very organized and good communicators.

Also, check out Site's new site (no pun intended), they just redid it, and its not even all up yet.

I have a stiffi on my e-mag and I like it a lot. The last time i went to the field I didn't have it but had the mag (long story-it was being replaced because the previous owner had the old style and it cracked. So he sent me the mag and later sent the barrel)I have shot it in my back yard and it is very accurate.

Do they have different bore sizes, or are they step bored like the Phantom carbon fiber barrels?

                No, they have 4 different bore sizes that I am aware of. Check out their site;

They have different bore sizes, and the Sw!tch kit (cocker threads only so far).

The barrels are stepped like an angel, the equivelent of a two piece

they are nice, light, quiet. I have one on my emag too. click AO-IL in my sig to see mine.
the switch kit is disappointing though, the bore pieces seem about 2-3 inches too short.

I noticed that when lookin at their barrel kit -- the control bore was only like 2'' long... Can't think that'd work very well..

Well, since i have used the kit, i will give my opinion.....

IT WORKS... plain and simple. I keep hearing people wondering about the short control bore, but it doesnt seem to make any difference in accuracy or consistancy. I havent had a chance to use it long enought to determine any effects on efficiency (i suspect slightly increased gas consumption).

Hmm, using something before talking it down.... thats a new concept

Tom says a shorter control bore is more accurate guys.... read those articles

A longer control is slightly more efficent

If it didn't work, would Hammerhead sell theirs for as much as an emag? I rest assured site tested it also, I asked their rep about it, I would post it, but my email is dead

ill dig Toms quote up, i posted it before
