Ok, Ive been reading alot about automags, and ive decided to build one from scratch. Now, should i build an X mag, An E mag, a mini mag, or a RT custom.

Well if you have the money I would say go for the x-mag for sure, then the e-mag, Rt custom, then the mini-mag. It also depends on weather or not you want to go with a mech (mini and Rt custom) or electro (x-mag or e-mag). Like everyone says try to shoot both before you choose.

if you do choose a e/xmag for your project i suggest tinkering around with a logic frame to work on e/xmags

Ok, first i need a rough cost. if anyone knows one, pls help. I currently have 35 dollars to start with, and will be getting 140$ every two weeks. I also need a good exploded veiw or parts list for the guns. if anyonme knows any thredz or sitz pls tell me. Im also going to be posting progress eports every two weeks, and consulting on parts.
Im either going with an e mag because of the ratings on PB reviews and the switchability between mech and elec.
HOw much better is the X mag? and how much more is it? and is it worth it?

only way your not gonna break the bank and ever finish is getting a custom rt with maybe a body from nicad or body from roguefactor or maybe one of coolhands or rogues new grips i suggest a ult kit also And welcome to AO

bye the time you get the oney together you will be able to get all of the avantages of an x-mag in an E-mag. My suggestion would be this set up.

You are not going to have to save up your money for a long time to be able to afford a custom build project with the numbers you listed. I suggest thinking about looking into the new RT packages that are out, or something like a mag and upgrade it every couple weeks when (if) you have extra cash.

Yeah, if you wait till you have the x/e-mag money then youll have to pay even more than now seeing as they'll be ever rarer. I'd suggest a rt/pro setup.

ok, thanks for the help, BUT im building an EMAG, and the only one whos been helpful so far is phobos and paintballman33(thanks dudes). now, ive been looking, there are good used parts i can get on ebay to hold over untill some reeely good stuff comes out, or i can affort whats already out. Now, lets start with the cheapest component. If you know, Pls post, and say what you think should go into this gun. im goign to try to get the frames and caseings and mainbodies etc together first, and then the valves and internal parts.

Thanks Kauai, here is annother trick. You should be able to pick up an E-mag by its self on E-bay for about $500 if you wait and find one closing at 5:00 am on a tuesday night or something. It will probbly have a steel tube and an EMAG valve. Lets compare the two options you have for upgrading.

Buying peice by peice the upgrades from www.airgun.com
ULE Body $145
Go X-valve! $225 (No mag for a week and minus 1 valve)
Total $370

Or Just buying the RT-ULE coustom $399 with ULE body +$20 = $419

now move the X-valve with the lvl10 to the Emag as well as the ULE body. For a difference of $49 you have 2 mags and if you want you could sell the spare part mag on E-bay for about $200.

Whoah, where can i get one of those deadlywind bodies, and for how much? so, after that, all i would need to buy is a trigger frame(im liking these teh other hotness ) and then a X valve and the ULE trigger pull system. some macrolines, etc.

im liking this 2 gun idea. teh problem is that i dont have that much money right now. So even if i wanted too i couldent buy it. (which REEEEELY sucks because i REEELY want to buy it, its got a nirtro, a hopper, AND a warp, prob 300$ alone.) so unless someone bought it and then i bought it from them plus 30$ for doing it, thats guns not within my grasp. i wasnt expecting to be spending that much money on a gun. my best friend moved to georgia, and i have to buy a ticket to go see him this summer which costs big $$$, and i want a reely good gun to replace my crappy tippmann.
