Granted, I don't know him nor do I know how big a turd brain he was...but if he's big enough to apologize and sound sincere, then I would give him a second chance...as long as he knows he's under careful watch. If he screws up, then he better understand why the privilege is taken away.

I'm obviously in the minority, but... the original e-mails were definitely out of line, no way to dispute that. But I think the fact that he's trying to contact you so much later, in a (well, I assume) civilized manner, means maybe he's grown up, and realized that tantrums aren't the way to go.

Or maybe I'm just an optimistic idealist in the extreme minority.
