With the comment "timmy = timmy = timmy" that's only a half truth.
There are really 3 types that indeed do have difference beyond a different milled body. The GZ (now Z) timmy, the Classic/Dragon type of timmy, and now the Alias style Timmy.
Look at the Classic Intimidator. Know what the difference between that and the Dragon, Storm, or Lasoya Intimidators are? Basically the clamshell gripframe and the removal of 1 front LPR. Otherwise Classic and most all other Timmies are identical, interchangable.
However the Alias/Empire/Naughty Dogs Intimidators have been improved from the previous statement. These are no longer just cosmetically changed, indeed even performance has been enhanced. The new Frenzy (Alias) boards are a big improvement to the previous SOB or WAS boards. The bolt has a shorter length, they have built in volumizers, (allegedly) the solenoid now has a higher airflow with a 2ms shorter stroke time. Your previous noid for the timmy was 8ms, but the new Alias style noid has a 6ms time. And with the higher flow added, these can get better efficiency and speed and blah blah blah. We all know the benefits.
Now airflow/function wise it's not revolutionary, but there are indeed very noticable changes with the newer Intimidators.
For the difference between specifically the Empire and Alias intimidators. Very minute differences. They're part of the newer brotherhood of the Timmy family. However I can't answer on efficiency, haven't gotten enough feedback overall to make an average guess to them. But so far it's looking to be nice, close to the case mark for 1 tank fill (68/45).
