Upgrade Micromag?

Hey guys,

I have an older ProTeam Micromag with the lightning anodization which I understand is very rare. The gun is in very good shape, but unfortunatley sees more time as a backup due to another favourite I've been using for the last 2 seasons. Is there a viable upgrade path for this marker, while retaining the body? Or is step one to get the new valve, and step two to get the new body? I'd love to make this my primary marker again, but my other one feels like it has an edge.


Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you wanna keep it, but leave the body, get an I frame and an Xvalve. Your set.

Wow, I'm not used to such quick replies. I should have also mentioned I'm still in the dark ages on CO2. Our town is extremely slow to get on the HP bandwagon. I'm hooped?

Well that sucks. In that case, you could just I Frame it and possibly ULT. If you have a place that fills scuba tanks, you could buy some scuba tanks and fill your own HPA bottles. Either way, im still curious as to how this anno is.

Also, adding a ULE body would be slightly pointless. You would lose the body you love so much, plus you would get no performance gain.

I had a quick peek around as to what an I Frame was. I assume your talking about the Intelliframe, which wont work, either due to the Micromag's lack of a baserail. Different trigger frame on these.

It will work. I frames work on micromags. Trust me. And yes, im talking about the intelliframe.

Me too. If the ano extends into the grip frame I might be hesitant to change that unless you are prepared to get the Intillifrrame mach anoed. Looks sometimes take precidence over performance

Meh, a chrome I frame would look nice. With sticky3's... probably even better than the matching benchy, just because benchies are nasty looking.

After taking these pictures, I would like to change the status of my Mag from "Very good" to "good" There's more wear on it that I thought.

Whoa. After seeing that, I must say keep the matching frame. In THAT case, I would recommend the following...

Ditch those nasty lookin grips for some dye sticky threes. They would REALLY make the gun look nice.

Then, slap a level 10 in there if you havent already.

And finally, ULT. I dont like it, but for that type of setup I think it would do it nice.

Overall, AWESOME anno. God, keep it! Thats really cool. Ive never seen a micro done like that.

EDIT: Dont forget to put a nice looking foregrip on there, like a CP or dye.

Doh! Nice hardline! I just noticed! That thing is AWESOME. I dont really know why im so in awe at that old thing... its just, awesome.

Ohh that is PIIIIIMP! If you were able to get HPA The X-Valve would be the best thing you could get. I would be loathed to see you trade out that matching trigger frame unless you got a new one to match,

Edit: NNot just pretty dam that is one of the top ano jobs I have seen PERIOD. I would love some high res shots of that in good lighting!
