    Good Marker Under 250....Criteria Inside...

Ok, I know that this has probably been posted 100 times before, but new products and guns are coming out every month. So, here's the deal:

    Must be under $250.
It needs to have a Double Trigger
    Needs to be Almost-Tourny Ready
    Easy Maintnance
    Ready-to-Use out of the box
Can't be a Tippmann (Just don't really like the feel of Tippmann's)
Preferably Mechanical, but not a must
    Preferably New

I know that there's a huge chance that the gun I've just described doesn't exist. But, hopefully someone out there can help me. Please only post helpful information.
Sorry if this is sort of crued and possibly rude, but I'm really tired and sick, so I don't really feel like going back over it and making it nicer. Sorry.

    Thanks all,
    -mjs

Though there may be some argument as to whether or not it fits into the tournament ready package (I know those that use these for tournaments, I know one kid who literally traded his Angel for one (no judgement, wasn't me). I think the Dragun TES is the best suited - quick, electronic, a reasonably effective eye - and upgradable.

        E-Spyders and clones.

They be fast. Hard to find more bang for the buck.

2004 is going to be insane with e-spyders that have ACE.

I would suggest an ICD bko. They're inexpensive for what you get, imo. Great guns for great prices.

Actually, and call me crazy, but I would sort of prefer a Mechanical gun to an Electro. I think I just like mechs a little more due to various small details. I'll edit this into the first post. Thanks for all the comments though!

Also, I heard that the BK0's have/had multiple problems with leaking, but that may have only been the first year's batch...?

BKO's have a problem with people tweaking the LPR
without knowing what they're doing :) They also
have people feeding the HPR 850 psi (I wouldn't
              recommend more than 600 psi)

If you're going mechanical, I'd get a classic RT...
with LX... No real upgrade path, but you said you
wanted tourney ready. It'd have all the performance
of the highest end markers for a fraction of the cost.
One caveat... It's a boat anchor... You'd have to
go to work beefing up your arms.

Get one of the PMI E-Force Pro Piranha's.. They are fast and ACE'd -- Not to mention PMI has comparable customer service to AGD. I love the service I have gotten on my Omen.

omg noooo, do not get a bko.. I don't know if others have had luck with them.. But my friends has been nothing short of crap.. If you do get a bko though.. I'd suggest an eye once you get the money.. Or else get a better reg.. The stock reg's tend to set themselves to whatever they want (atleast for my friend)

Any non-electro Piranha I will recommend. They last a long time and serve you well. You can try to look for a used mag here on the forums. I'm sure you can find something good for the price you ask for. If you absolutly must have something new, PMI stuff is good.

You can get a top of the line Piranha, replace the forgrip with a good reg, get a nice drop, and fix it up to be a real nice marker. Not to mention you could get a new bolt, valve, and what not for it. It will compete. If you can.

You could get a Psychoballistics Lightning Cocker with a slider trigger for $229 at PBgear.com
A freidn of mine just ordered one but he hasn't gotten it yet. They seem somewhat good.

                            They aren't that great.

The LPR is VERY finicky, the ram isn't very good, the slider trigger just plain sucks on it, and the quality isn't too great either.

As for a marker, either go BKO, or look for a used mag. That's my suggestion.

Don't go with the cocker, going budget on those is asking for nothing but trouble. And I have heard bad things about the Psychoballistics Cocker.

I have a good impression of 98's and Pirahnas as good workhorse markers that are good for their price. So if you don't want a tippman, get any of the various pirahnas. None will be fast enough to keep up with the ROF you see in tourneys, not even close, but I'd say go with an the new Piraha Eforce Elite or whatever they're calling it that has an electronic frame and eyes, it should be a solid 12-15bps marker which you could use a revy or egg on and not chop.
