just got my excal back from AKA and.... o_o

    well well well...

to give some background on this, i had a deal made with a dude to trade my excalibur for his eblade cocker and a revy. i agreed to shipping first since i made the offer on his gun. the day before i shipped it, i gassed it up, put in some air, and shot it a bit to make sure everything was working fine before i shipped it out. the next day i send the thing off to California, and then 2 days later the guy gets it and says "oh woot this thing's so cool <3 its awesome" blah blah blah. next day he gets some air, and it doesn't work. his friend supposedly has a viking, and was looking at it... and they were both dumbfounded because it didn't work. the next day, guy takes off the trigger frame and, according to him, "a wire popped out."

    so i go "wtf."

he says he wont ship out his gun because he doesn't want a "broken" one. soo he sends it back, i look at it and

TWOtested with paint with no problems."

tested with paint with no problems? sure... how come when i gassed it up today the bolt didn't move, at all. when i pull the trigger you can hear a shot go off, but no bolt moving.

on top of that, lpr set to 72? why does it look like the ball's going like 320fps O_o (could be because i was in the dark)

im not mad, just quite aggrivated and need some good venting (quake 3 arena comes in handy ^-^). after NUMEROUS attemps of calling them, and either getting a busy signal or they dont pick up, and waiting about a month to get my gun back and having it not even work...

soo Whiskey Tango Foxtrot is up with this. they'll be getting calls from moi. and PBN will hear me too, and they shall know of this!!

on a final note, all i hear on the internet about AKA tech is just glamorous stories of "oh i asked for a new screw for my lpr and they gave me a new ram," and "i needed them to fix my hpr and they just gave me a new one". then in real life all i hear is "oh man i ask for a trigger spring and they tell me i broke the gun and they dont want me buying their stuff!!" and that "ugh they wouldn't really let me talk to them, overall their support SUCKS." well hey, i asked for a resoldering job and my gun doesn't work. guess my bonus was the best of all

    just thought i'd share...

P.S.- Mossman, while i had it in the first place it was fine...

    Nelson board or WAS?

Could be the bolt time is off. Also velocity is also highly dependent on paint used. I myself have recieved nothing but exceptional service.

    Az

Of course it could help I got a nifty certification paper.

sorry to hear that, as a aka dlr and owner I have had nothing but great service from Christine, Ilene and all the great folks at AKA. Now it does help that my nephew is a tech but I feel they treat me the same as any other paying customer...

Yah, I don't get the problem...

Except that your gun shoots balls at 320fps with the bolt disconnected from the hammer.

Other than that, I dunno what to tell you about the LPR. Turn it down?

Your LPR should be at 73, don't mess with it if its set at that.

Who did you try to trade the excal to? Just wonderin.

Ok, so it shoots paint at 320 fps, but the bolt doesnt move? Is that even possible?

                let me clarify

                the RAM wont move
bolt connected to ram, therefore no bolt action.

                second
when i "shot" the gun, i pulled the bolt back and let a ball load, then pulled the trigger in which the ball shot out. so no, the gun doesn't cycle

hopefully the folks at PBN can help me out. supposedly the guy that fixed my gun, Dan, posted in my thread so maybe i can get a hold of him and see what happens

my thread on PBN was closed because they appearently cant comprehend what im saying...

i talked with another guy, and he said that my board is fried, and this could be true since it IS 4 years old lol.

still, after 76$ and having to send it back so its reprogrammed? wouldn't that be another 76$?

makes me wanna throw the gun away and quit paintballing overall :l

What they are trying to find out on PBN is if you touched your LPR at all. Since LPR does not affect velocity but you seem to complain about it being set at 72psi.

"IF" you turned it all the way down then it wont cycle the hammer. Then if you turned it back up too high you might have blown the solenoid.

Your thread was closed because it kept going around in circles w/o you giving the answers to the questions they were asking you.

Dan who even worked on your marker at AKA was on the thead trying to get more information from you but if you don't give all the facts they can't fix it.
