Squid, don't worry. Things you need to notice, and EVERYONE who posted in this thread should pay attention to:

-Dan Voils, the AKA master tech who worked on THIS VERY GUN, posted in the thread trying to ask what had gone wrong, and was ignored.

-SEVERAL people pointed out that it sounded like a blown solenoid

-This owner was obviously messing around with the LPR, which should not be done by anyone who isnt a tech, and doesnt even have the pressure guage.

-Jacking the LPR up too high will blow the solenoid that controls the movement of the ram, producing the EXACT SAME problems he has listed.

-This owner never took the time to read the manual, which clearly explains that velocity is adjusted through the sidewinder reg. He may have tried adjusting it through the LPR and the reg, definate no-no, as the lpr doesnt affect velocity. He would neither confirm nor deny that he did this.

-He was messing with the velocity because it "looked like" the gun was shooting at 320 fps. Who here can eyeball the velocity on a paintball gun that just came out of a box?

-EVERY OTHER ISSUE he listed other than the ram issue has to do with a bad trade he made, NOT AKA'S SERVICE.

-I asked this guy how much AKA charged him, and he never responded. It would be ironic if all they did was charge him shipping.

So lets recap. He made a bad trade, sent the gun in, got it back, failed to chrono it to determine actual velocity, probably messed with the wrong thing to adjust veolicty, did it without the proper tools, screwed up the gun himself, then ignored the AKA master tech who was trying to help him. How can anyone possibly blame AKA for this?

also, i didn't touch the lpr because its not like i wanted to send the thing back anyways... so yea.

i've breifly read the manual i printed out twice, but now i've thoroughly read through it and after talking to some people, i've finally concluded that my board is fried.

yay for me! =D


lastly, i finally found out about third party trading :d

ill have to try that out with the guy who currently wants my gun despite the current problems... O_o

thats a pretty dumb thing to say. most of the techs in the AKA forums over on PBN, that do offer help, such as Dan Voils, are AKA Certified techs. We have the same here. A few techs that are certified AGD techs, and then your "seasoned pros"

both do the same thing. next time, try not to be so ignorant.

as far as the issue went with the marker, yes, I have read the thread on PBN, and yes, more or less everything that steelrat posted was what happened. It does not seem to be the fault of aka on this one. There is a quick way to solve this, call AKA, and ask to speak DIRECTLY to dan.

I had done it once when i had a problem with my was board. We troubleshot it right over the phone, and I didnt even have my marker in hand when we had determined the problem. he is a very nice guy, if you call, get it done, get it out of the way, you will see that.
