mags obsolete? hardly. With the development of ULE, the x-valve, and the level 10 bolt, mags have once again risen close to the top. When the new hair trigger comes out and I'm shooting 16 bps with my MECHANICAL mag, I seriously doubt too many people will refer to it as obsolete after seeing it in action.
MAGS obsolete!

Originally posted by REDRTWell the shop in question, the owner has always been good to my brother (the spider user, bah) and I. Being that it has been nice out and the field has opened up they have been bombarded with players. The elbows they should've had due to half the markers on the wall needed one. And to clarify they had very little paint, but not any of their premium stuff. The RT likes the premium stuff. The comments and the view of the sales person got me down. Maybe my RT (classic) is slightly dated, but it is plenty fast. Fast enough to take on electro's.
Which shop was it?

I just wanted to know because I live in Wisconsin too, and I might want to check it out and bring my tricked RTP with.
You can PM me if you don't feel comfortable posting the name.

yeah, what shop was it? All of the local shops around where I live (well...sort of where I live, there is nothing close) don't sell mags or mag parts, except for one, but it's like 45 minutes away and the people there are jerks and only help you if your buying a $1500 gun.Comment

That's why you should only buy stuff from Blackrain Paintball.Originally posted by silentdeath55yeah, what shop was it? Well there is still time to register for the first senario game at the "edge". Maybe the sales person in question will be on the field, I don't know. I do know however there is a couple of us that play down there. Maybe we can have a mag fest.

Old Mag's may be obsolete in tournaments, but certainly not for recreational players. When playing with friends, mostly in the woods, a Automag68 still dominates over the Tippy's and blowbacks.Yes, my Mag is made of steel.Comment

Remember, most stores make their entire living off Tippmanns and Spiders. Of course they will special order whatever the flame thrower of the month is or have a few on the wall for show. What he really told you was, "why don't you buy something I sell?".
The retail community needs to be wowed, I think the hAir trigger will do that, after all we are 37,000 views and counting on Nicads video thread we must be dead....

I read this to mean that you're definitely going to produce a hAir trigger'd marker! YIPPEE! Don't forget to include a horizontal warp input body. Is a new valve design in the works too?Originally posted by AGDThe retail community needs to be wowed, I think the hAir trigger will do that, after all we are 37,000 views and counting on Nicads video thread we must be dead....

Ageed! Very nice rec gun, but I have a problem with the TAC 1's, they use the Xvalve, which requires N2/Compressed/HPA, something the average rec baller/scenario guy doesn't want to shell money out for.Originally posted by TheLaxPlayerOld Mag's may be obsolete in tournaments, but certainly not for recreational players. I'd have to disagree, 37,000 hits for one thread is UNHOLY. I think we can safely conclude that the same 10 people are not constatly accessing that thread, because the link is all over the other PB forums. Plus, I'm sure word of mouth is largely responsible for that as well, because I for one have been telling every Mag owner I see to check that thread out, most of them have never even heard of AO. I'm sure there are other users doing this as well.
Regardless of the fact that 1 hit does not equal 1 individual person, 37,000 hits does mean that there is hella interest in this product. I've been on forums with hundreds of thousands of users worldwide, and no thread has EVER gotten this many hits (that I've seen).
