    A Cocker is born

2 years of collecting parts and the final piece came in the mail today. 10 hours of build time all done today. Still needs some final tuning but it is a working marker. I have to wait for some balls. It's also my first Cocker!

    Meet AKA VLM #0019

When this baby grows up it will have some light milling and full dust black anno job. Every single piece of aluminum will be done.

    Specs:

AKA VLM Serial #0019 - The Merlin came after these, It uses '99 parts.
Check It Delrin Bolt - 2000 Part
    RAT Valve 3:16
    Stainless Hammer
    AKA Cocking Rod
Unknown Back Block - 2000 Part
    Stainless Rods
Unknown Chrome Front Block - AKA block is fugly, sold it.
    Mako Adjustable LPR
    Palmer Quick Switch
ANS Stainless Ram - Added a 90* fitting.
    Unknown Stainless LPC
    Vertical ASA For Mini's
Home Made Gas Thru Grip - Part from a PG-1 Tornado, my very first gun.
    Eclipse Hinge Trigger Frame
Benchmark Drop Forward - Modified, added bolt holes for reg.
Smart Parts Max Flow - When it gets anno, it won't be SP anymore :)

Runs off a 16 oz. stubby CO2 tank.

    Hope you like it!

Cool... I like to see things like this come togethor. But, Id definitely ditch the maxflo, and put a verticle reg on there.

Its fun building your own cocker isn't it? I just got finished with my self built Boxxer. Built a 99 before that , and am about to build another 99. Pre 2K parts are so easy to find and people will practically(and have) give them to me. They get really bent when I go to the field with what was previously a box of worthless parts to them and school them with an "obsolete" marker.

Finally got it shooting 280 this afternoon. These things are definitely difficult (fun?) to tune. It's running about 280 PSI with lightest valve spring and heaviest striker spring. I couldn't sweet spot the reg, only goes up to 300 so I couldn't see if the velocity leveled out. I will probly be changing the reg and bumping the pressure up to see what happens. I have a feeling it's a hog right now.

After I got done I decided to double check my other markers and get them ready for next weekend. Pulled out the mag, a couple drops of oil, popped it a few times to spread the oil. Threw on the barrel, bang!, 280, 6 in a row. Good to go...

Pulled out the UBER Dragun. 260, 270, 280, 280, 280, CHOP! A nastyone too. Wedged the bolt closed and got paint into the valve chamber and hammer. The valve didn't even get a chance to open and blow anything out. Taking it part right now, what a mess...

Think I'm gonna part out the Dragun on ebay.

              Mags own, period.

10 hours of build time!? Must be your first Cocker...:)

Yeah, there's very little difference in pre/post-2000 Autocockers that would affect performance, especially in a nice aftermarket setup like that.

Anyway, it looks good and I suspect it will look great after it is dusted.
                God gave you a soul.

That looks to be a 2k1-2k3 stock backblock, but there isn't a great view. Just so ya know.

Yup, 10 hours. Every part has been completely disassembled, inspected/cleaned/polished/rebuilt/modified, and then put together. It's not exactly a box of factory parts that just bolt together and work perfect the first try. Almost every part needed some kind of tweaking.

Mine was setup to run at 240 PSI , but I was using incredible amounts of air. I tweaked it a bit and got it running at 290 now and it shot 500 rounds on 2000 PSI from a 68ci tank. Better than any cocker I have ever owned.

I got a cocker question. Is it true that anything electronic that adjusts speed (main example is an eblade) is illegal in tournaments? Because I was looking at an e-blade but this idea is scaring me away

I think most electro grips have some sort of tourney lock feature that disables any functions that would change the way the marker fires.
