get one of them large and tough rubbermaid storage boxes that are lockable. Then chain it to an immovable object.

actually what we did was lock all the zippers leading into the tent and chained everything outside to the tent. but unfortunately the profilers weren't in the tent and the camera was on top of a stack of newspapers

My solution is this: I've got all of my gear in one of 3 places: my marker case, my "incedentals" case (spare CO2 tanks, chrono, tools, etc.) and my "gear bag" - an old USN seabag converted with extra pockets inside and a lower profile.

To this gear I've added a lock on top of the seabag (there's a bail that threads through grommets that you can put a lock on), a hasp and lock on each of my cases, and a steel bike lock cable. I thread the cable through the locks on everything and loop it around a handy tree, fence post, whatever - anything that can't be pulled out or carried off easily. That way everything is locked up, locked together and locked to something secure.

When I get my paint, I have a bunch of those 200 round cannisters they sell paint in at Wal-Mart. I dump the paint into them and stash them in my gear bag - that way my paint is locked up as well. Yes, the bags are better to keep them in than the plastic containers, but they're fine for the course of a day. Also, if there are other people using your gear (if you have that much, they probably are - I always bring plenty of extra stuff for my party/teammates to use), they know which paint is yours immediately.

I do realize that anybody with a sharp knife can cut my bag open, but it's more about a deterrent than a security system. Most thefts in an arena like a paintball game are crimes of opportunity - somebody sees something out with nobody watching it, and lifts it on their way by. If you can make it more difficult for them, they'll usually go find something easier - especially if they can't tell the value of what they're trying to steal before they put in the effort.

                  1. Keep it in the car
                  2. Keep it in the tent and lock the zippers shut
                  3. Keep it in a rubbermaid bin and lock it

when u leave ur tent to go paintball...shouldnt ur friends take there stuff too, so inturn, u shouldnt really ahve anything left, where is the problem? if ur worried about getting stuff to eat, have a freind stay back and ask him what he wants, otherwise, just chain it all up

or, if ur really that worried, ill just come to watch ur stuff for u, never been to badlandz, only challenge but im sure ill still have fun

EVERYTHING except the stuff i had on my was locked. even the chair i was sittin on was chained to the tent. i put my goggles down for about 5 minutes and they disappear. i had to bring extra stuff because i knew all my friends were gonna have something wrong with their markers. i had to bring 2 marker setups for friends that didnt have gear. and extra harnesses and goggles for them. I had way too much to keep track of.
