If it blew the LP disk, then your reg seat is probly messed up. The LP disk is just a CO2 disk.

Really? All your fittings, elbows, tubes, and connectors are rated at 3000psi working pressure?Originally posted by Butterfingersall my hardware is capable of handling 3000 psi I didnt think too much of it.
I think some people would be shocked to learn what the pressure ratings for many of the fittings are.

what people dont know
This is the second time I heard bad things will happen if the reg fails and the gun takes a big hit
Astm standards says the gun should be rated at 3000psi. Ha what about 4500 psi?
See my thread "only with AGD" Gotta love the FlatLine and Mag valve, Dam straight.
Fittings and rateings[what a joke]
Just use those swivel fittings and plastic line, youll be fine[NOT]
Wait till you try and take the reg off and it breaks or is damaged[threads] or other wise because it was over torqued with locktite. will it be SAFE to put back on??????????
So what will fry if your fancy DM4 or Alias takes a 1800 or more hit.

Have them get a shorter line or afix it to the table or wall ASAP!!!!! I can not stress this enough. A fill line if it should pop, or the fitting explode (which I have seen happen) will cause some serious injury if you are holding it.

It'll certainly be more reliable than random opinions and secondhand information from the net.

I'd say that the burst disc probably saved your reg seat (that's sort of the whole point of have a burst disc, to save the bottle/reg from carastrophic faliure). Of course Slarty is probably right and you should ask Crossfire when you order a new burst disc from them.

I didn't mean to be critical of you. I just thought the fact needed to be brought to the attention of the great masses. The oft repeated "A mag can handle 3000 psi" is useless for the ignorant who are using macroline to connect their air supply to the marker.
I'm glad that some know what they're doing, but frightened by the much larger number that really don't have a clue.
Perhaps you could provide a link/details/pictures of your setup and where to get the supplies?
Sooner or later someone's going to have to regulate PB fittings, tubes, and lines.Last edited by SlartyBartFast; 07-15-2004, 10:39 AM.Comment

I got most of the fittings from a local hydraulic supply place. I think it was called S&S hydraulic.
You can probably get the same at grainger or northern hydrualic.
1/8 NPT is almost impossible to find you will most likely have to get that specially made.
Search your local yellow pages there are many local businesses willing to supply you with what you need.
Slarty I edited it because i realized I was in a bad mood and grumpy people dont make for good conversation. Incase you guys are wondering what I said I criticized him for criticizng me. I apologize If you read it before I edited it.Last edited by Butterfingers; 07-15-2004, 09:23 PM.Did you hear about the new european weapons contracts?
