Gforce's 68super vs. HAir Trigger?

    I was there...

I was at IAO and had talked to both Colin and G-Force separately and extensively about their whole patent process and where they both were with approval. While talking to both of them, I realized that both, while only like 4 tables away, had not seen the others' design, or even been aware of them until IAO. The guy at G-Force wasn't even aware of the Hair Triggered Mag until I told him about it. I asked the G-Force guy to come down to Colin to talk to him about the Hair and to discuss marker designs. I listened to a bit of the conversation as G-Force tried out the Hair. Colin then went down to check out the G-Force gun. At that point, I left them alone to talk about whatever they needed to. In the end, it seemed they were satisfied that there would not be a patent infringement issue with the markers and their designs, from talking to G-Force. Whatever that means, probably only the designers and patent attorneys know.

Pretty weird how things work out sometimes.

The SP patent will be exposed eventually, there's gobs of prior art out there. And paying a royalty doesn't affect which system is BETTER thant he other.

The Qloader is a good idea, and it feeds fast, but its flawed because you don't have alot of paint on tap, and when reloading, you're either forced to be empty, or you're wasting paint...either way, there is a dead spot, no matter how small it may be (and the qloader reloading is impressive)

The advantages to the qloader are speed and positioning, and perhaps weight. On the field, I'd still take a HALO over a Q, though...the speed increase is literally negligible, and useless. A warp can get around the positioning, and you still have the capacity and reloading issues.

Electro IS better, so the people looking in the pricerange of $700, scenario palyers excepted, I don't think you're going to convert alot of people...

Show me a Pneumag (cocker 3way, cocker LPR, cocker ram) for $300, it doesn't even have to be hAir, just a 3way throw is good enough, with the proper leverage...with the right setup, you could even have it help resetting the trigger. THAT's the amrket you need, the low end. People with $300 guns don't have $100 loaders...they benefit most from LVLX.

I agree that for a tourny player, unless principles are involved (and they rarely are), electros will rule the circuits. If Paintball wasn't about peer pressure, you would not see 12 year olds with DM4's using a cheap screw-in air system, or have so many of them ask what colour they should anno their gun. One of my points about the pneumatic technology is that it is pseudo new and not too many people have really thought about it until lately. Sure, in a way it's no big deal. I had an operational prototype on both a Mag and a Cocker 5, closer to 6 years ago. Do I have prior art? you betcha...do I care, not in the least. When the Angel hit big, I left it alone because of the difference in firepower. Mine would not shoot anywhere near as fast as what these guys are getting today so they deserve something for all their work....So, just like the first Shocker was lucky to get 6 bps and we're now years down the road, there is no telling what we'll see in this area as time goes by. And yes, eyes can even be added now....so what will it be like in a few years?

The trigger still doesn't look very good. I like the new body though. Everything has been cleaned up except for that disgrosting trigger.

The final feedneck looks shorter than the prototype, is it threaded or press fit?
Otherwise if its fairly efficient, low maintenence and easy on paint who knows. I like the stock form being plain. Let some aftermarket come up with crazy milling and anodizing.

The newest Autococker "Superstock" is how much? Shockers are how much? Intimidators are how much? Hey, if we want super mechanicals Palmers are how much? We're not even getting into used Vikings/DM4s/etc.

I predict less than stellar sales
