This thread cracks me up, if that EXACT gun was made by dye, aka, or agd people would be praising it, but since it is smart parts, it's crap.

Honestly, I didn't see anything wrong with the gun. From what I could tell, it was simple, shot fast and worked. The shocker grip frame works great and can keep everything in there really tight. Impulse design is proven and works.

I disagree Tony. If it was Dye all the east coasties would hate it as being over done and expensive. If it was WDP it would be over hyped and too expensive. Shocktech is the same as Dye. My issue with it is: (should that be a semi-colon?) I don't like reflective eyes, it was delayed a year and during that year all the really cool things they first advertised went missing (self adjusting lpr), I wanted oen but they took too long, and ramping modes should not be in that gun. Smart parts' ethics have nothing to do with my disdain for this gun.

oh man.. i loved the quick edit when he couldnt get the bolt out of the gun. when one of your own engineers cant get the bolt out easily, you know you have a problem.

heres the opinion from another shocker owner (me)

the nerve is the biggest waste of moeny ever, why is it more over priced than a DM4? because a DM4 is actually good, whereas this is a suped impy. its so ridiculous that people are going to buy this gun for 1200, when they could get a shocker with the same or better performance for nearly half the price, oh and vision does suck, everyone i know who has it just buys a halo and turns vision off. it has to come with a ramping board so people will actually think its fast.

And i agree that the Shocker is a much better gun. Comparing the shocker to the nerve is like comparing a Trix to an Impulse...........cause basically thats what you're doing

I guess you love all the "new" products from Mac Dev, the cyborg operates similar to any other impulse/timmy. While we talk about timmys, what about all the "new" ones? They are just like the old.

What about cars? Ya all the "new" model cars that work just like the old ones.

What about the freestyle? It uses a spool valve system, just like the matrix. What about the bko? Works just like the Bushmaster. Or the "new" dm4, probably the most popular tourney gun right now. It works just like old trixes, but it is consider "new".

imo the nerve is a smaller imp with a cheater board, we all know how reliable imps are.... and its way overpriced at 1200 with only bouncebeam eyes and the normal smart parts quality of craftsmanship and materials

I'm pretty sure in order for it to be blowforward it needs to use a spring to recock. Blow backs use the spring to fire, blow forwards use it to recock. The bolt is controlled by a solenoid with shockers and dm4's.

If you take a look at a dynastu shocker you pay for milling, freak, and vision correct. Well this one includes freak, vision, milling and a better board but it cost 100 more so if you think about it its not that out of the question.

and think of when custom nerves come out how overpriced they will be, and the dynasty shocker is better than the nerve, but it has to cost more because the nerve is higher on the smart parts gun heirarchy thus it has to cost more, like how to smart parts a bone stock shocker is far better than the most insanely tricked custom imp just because the shocker is newer, thus better, even though the imp probably out perfoms it by alot

Evan, you do realize that almost all gun companies have high end models that are basically milled guns that cost more. It is the same with EVERYTHING. Car companies sell more expensive models that work the EXACT same as the lower end model, but includes those nice leather seats, and heated seats. You could buy a nice dye matrix and get dm4 preformance, you could get a 2k2 timmy and get alias preformance, You could buy a stock impulse with vision and get strange impulse preformance.
