Doesn't look like crap? It looks like a laser gun from a crappy sci-fi movie. If anything it's one of the worst looking markers I've ever seen - I'd much rather have a shoe-box marker than one that looks like it doesn't have a definate shape.

I'm guesing we just had good luck with the guns that we got, i'm sure that the customers that bought them a year ago now hate them or have already gotten rid of them. Both guns have probably both turned into steaming piles of pooh by now hehe.

Welcome to street legal nitro burning-from the factory ramper board. This is BS. It is what an Impulse should have been if the pre-release wasn't so crappy. 4 years later they release what the Impulse SHOULD have been. What a pile of crap. The Nerve is an Impulse with a ramper board and an enclosed bolt.....Ohhhh big whoop. POS IMHO. I have owned a supper tricked and sweet Imp and it was a great gun. But I wouldn't pay a red cent extra for a too late POS like the nerve. Look a what I am shooting, check the sig, sweet guns all. Not one of them claims what the nerve can. SP is just trying to sell it's POS that came to late and to slow to take advantage of the Imp fame. DON'T BUY IT. Hype is crap and crap tastes bad. If I was still an Imp owner I would love the nerve, but I am not. To bad and too late. I would buy a Spyder before I bought another SP gun. Not because they make crap. which they don't, but because they peddle crap as hype and the stupid people buy it. Long live AGD and long live AO, and the place where **** is set staight. I've got one more thing to say. Back in the day, the thing that smart parts could do and damn well at that, is splash anno. That shoe-box shocker looks sweet Frag. My smartmag has parts that look like that, but black,red, silver.

I'm sorry and upto this point ive looked pass hating sp but wtf a stock ramping board..... Its gay as gay gets and i hope its banned from major tournaments... If it was UBER hard to change it and it took 15 minutes of holding a lil pin down INSIDE the frame maybe itd be fine since they couldnt change it right after a chrono before a game but its SOOO easy so poo in smartparts mouth

I know a kid from my field who just got a brand new Nerve last week. He didn't have it at the field Saturday (he was just reffing along with me and couple of my friends), but apparently "it's sick fast!". I know he's not BSing when he says he has it, he's the kind of hype-driven kid that gets all kinds of paintball crap from parents, including new guns. Hopefully I will get a chance to see and shoot it next week if he's there. I just wonder how well it will hold up, both the Shockers at our field go down quite often. I've shot a working Shocker before, and they're nice and fast when they're working, but out of the 4 or so Imps i've shot (which I hear the Nerve is most similar to) every single one has felt/shot like crap and had a crappy trigger pull (that might be the owner's faults however).

I find that the Shocker shoot pretty well, but they're very finicky as to whether or not they want to work right or not, how similar the Nerve is to that, i'll have to see.

Also, if you are going to make a video where your tech openly admits that it ramps, I mean has rebound, then atleast empty that halo in 5 or 6 seconds, instead of 9. Whats that like 17-18bps?? Well if you can't do that, fill the halo half full, that way we atleast get the best hype for our money.

I honestly hope this gun gets thrown out of every tourney. I think I would puke if I saw this allowed.

Well, I shouldn't judge this gun since I haven't shot it. And this being my first post on AO am I immune to flaming? Get a pardone or such? O well I'm sure I will hear it...

I'm still having a hard time believing that they used a guy that spent 90% of the video saying "uhhh, the uhh, well if you uhhh, hit the up, uhhh, button, it uhhh, raises the dwell, and uhh, that means uhhhh, the gun is uhhh, going to uhhh, shoot slower because uhhh...." etc.

Flaming here we try not to do, we just speak our minds and "flame" with facts and intellectual comments and conversation while trying not to belittle the other person. besides you have summed up what alot of other people are saying about this marker so i doubt you will be flamed in anyway

yeah i think this thread is the most flaming ive ever been involved with off of PBN, but thats just cause some people love smart parts' crappy products due to hype, and others are intelligent

and i honestly dont get why they didnt just make their board flat out ramp instead of changing debounce levels, its just so stupid and just as illigal

I'm not going to bother saying more. I could burst a blood vessel talking about this, but people have an idea set in their mind of what they want to think and I can't change it. I could honestly care less. People on this forum in general don't like Smart Parts. I guess things won't change any time soon, but putting down a gun that works great just because you don't like the price or company is crazy. I mean, give reasons why you don't like the nerve. Not just, wow SP gun, crap. AO is such quick to critize about things they don't like but if you critize something they like they get their pants in a jubble. Oh well, life goes on.
