    rt classic bodies

ok...id really like an answer from TK on this one, but any guys that have accurate info on the subject, it would be greatly appreciated

just a little quick question for you. i know that there are atleast a few vertical classic RT bodies that were made. im just wondering how many of these are actually in existance, and how they were sold. ie, as an option, upgrade, etc.

    thanks,

Why?... Hes looking for a answer which he still hasn't recieved. His post just needs to find the right person, if he leaves the post for to long it will keep getting moved down and will soon be forgotten. When he "ups" it keeps peoples attention on it and he will hopefully find the answer he is looking for.

There were quite a few (depends on how you measure that) in both high rise and in low rise. I don't know how many but several hundred would be my guess. I saw over 40 - 50 low rises out there. I personaly had five or six of the High rises converted to no rise and low rise by BradAGD. I don't think anyone kept up with the number though.

They were sold as an option and later the no rises were sold as an add on. They fit RT's and Emags so there is no breakdown on what they went on. They also would fit a regular mag as the pinion would fit on the regular mags so some might have ended up on those too.

When they first came out the low rise was not popular because of the short stack and come chopping. When level 10 came about they picked up in popularity. So several batches of low rise center feeds were then sold. Very nice body it was.

Depends on how you define rare I guess. Compared to Hopper Left bodies yea its less. But because there was not much demand for them. And many of the High rises got chopped off. And some had the chop and the bell resoldered into no rise and such. Whats even rarer is a High rise Hopper Left. Now those or just odd looking. I had one of those when Tom found some in the Attic. Mel at PBX had it last. I don't know if he still does or not. I was putting it on a Pump Mag when he traded me some stuff for it.

                        Thats correct.

I am guilty of abbreviation. Or maybe not.... but lets get it cleared up

Original RT valves will not fit into RT Pro or Emag bodies. I not certain they would not fit on the Rail though. That I never bothered to notice. But they would do you no good trying to fit a original old school RT Valve into the RTP/ Emag body. If that makes any sense.

I had no idea there were no-rise Classic RT bodies. I would like one for my Classic RT. After having one on my E Mag, the power feed left body looks huge.

There were. But most of the discussions I was previously having here were based on my missreading of his first question. I did not notice the refernce to "classic". So the data (however vauge) can be reduced in numbers for the Classic. I seen a few. Not many. And some of those even converted.

                              I'm still in the dark.

I've always admired the original RT body. I have an old-school 68 Automag - original rail & valve. Will the original RT (not RT-Pro) body fit the rail & valve of the 68 Automag?
Not RT vs. RT-Pro, but RT vs. 68 Classic.
