    confused...like always

i thought i finally decide on my gun (b2k4 w/pds...for christmas) but i still havent been able to shoot or hold it (havent gone to a field yet) but im going to a field on the weekend (well just to their shop) to hold a whole bunch of different guns (they have a huge shop...so i here) but i called today and they dont carrie ICD products...now this could be a problem. how am i going to compare the feel of a cocker or an impy to if a b2k if i cant hold one (i wish they would let me shoot them that would be great!) the way i see it, the b2k is the best gun you can get new for under $500. but i will never be able to test it. if i find a gun that feels good in my hands(comfort wise) should i go with that or should i get the b2k.

i just got back from the field shop like a second ago... it was a great exprience. the first thing i held was a 04 bko(im surpised they had one,but when i asked why they had one they were like, when ppl are looking for a cheap electro hey give them that) i held an impy and i didnt like it that much(it was heavy, the trigger was wobble, and it was fugly!)i held a shocker(nice!) a a bomb timmy(orgasmic!!!) and a fly 4(sexy!!) i got to fire a used apollo angel and i loved it and will want to marry it and live with it for the rest of my life(j/k ) but i still didnt get to fire or hold a b2k. the guys working there said that the b2k is good and i should go with a impy. now wat ive learned from this wonderful forum is that the b2k is better. but i just wpndering why they would say this??? they said that the impy is better built, tons more upgradable ect. now im kinda confused...help!

Lets analyze this for a second. Shop recommends impy because they carry impy, they also carry upgrades for impy's... Said shop does not carry the b2k, but says its good but get the impy. Underlying meaning? We dont have a b2k which is a good marker but we do have an impy and we are going to recommend it because we have it and you are looking to buy something so we can say things to help make our sale.

i own to impys right as we speak...one 04rat with WAS, OTB frame, SP LPR, low rise, the whole 9, and one stock with vision....i have owned a BKO before....never a b2k4....

heres what i have to say:

impys are nice if you can get an aftermarket body so its not as heavy, and they look ALOT better...they can be real nice if you balance your internals right and run them at a nice pressure. with WAS they are PLENTY fast. and the best thing for impys is the aftermarket...there is almost as much stuff to buy for an impy as there is a cocker.

my BKO was nice also...cheap fast and alot lighter...the only bad thing with the BKO was they are mechanicly capped at 18bps...it doesn't matter if you put a new board in them, it wouldn't make them any faster then 18bps...now i know that my fingers arn't faster then 18bps but i do have some nice strings once in a while and my team started to play alot of tournys so i decided it was time to move on....

if i were you i would say try to get the b2k4...from what ive seen wtih the bko the b2k4 should be better then the impy...pds is deff alot better then vision...and if you can try to get an OTB frame..i haven't felt anything nicer in my life...(well nothing i can type without getting a couple day ban on here)

and after everything everyone types for you...its all what you decide to get...

and thats just because there isn't really an aftermarket for busy's....if i wasn't trying to get an x-mag i would be trying to get a bonebrake busy...

                      Define no aftermarket?

Boards, Bolts, Barrels, valves, hpr's and lprs, ram modifications, vaporizing.... Much more stuff to throw on a bushy than a mag... There are not as many different kinds of bushy's though like impulses have 20+ thousand different models

But bushy is quality over quantity

                        .....

Ive owned two imps and they are awesome as hell when FULLY upped. But when I figured out how much money I dumped into them to make them cool, I realized I could have had a better marker for cheaper. And yes, any store will make its bread and butter on aftermarket parts, so a store carrying impys will most likely try to push those as there are a huge amount of aftermarket for it. The thing with impys is they are so bare when you buy them (no delrin bolt, crappy trigger, ram made of some unknown alloy, no lpr) and the bushies come pretty loaded (my opinion anyway). I dont know a whole lot about the difference between a a bushie with PDS as aposed to a BKO (well, I know the PDS is an eye), but I do know the PDS models are great guns. I think ICDs customer service sucks (some will argue that), but so does SPs, so its good to keep that in mind. Peace

i wanted to ask this sooner but my comp has been down.

my mom finally said i can get a used gun but it cant be from online it has to be from my pro shop. and like i said i saw like angel lcds there for $500 which is my price range. so im thinking... get a used angel lcd or a b2k4 w/ pds. they have a bunch of angels i think i reamember some of the names... featherlight, apollo so on. will these old angels still preform good??? can u put the same ups on the old ones??? should i look out for anyother used guns in the $500 range.

Angels are decent guns, but they have horrible resale.
If you dont plan on selling your gun any time soon, go ahead and get the angel.
But personally I think the B2k4 would be the better choice, if you could still try to get that somehow.
