buy a new b2k4, save some cash, get the thing sent in and have pds put on it, a friend and shop owner of mine owns a first gen bushmaster b2k and a couple more b2k's and b2k2's, they are nice, the one's he has are capped at 13bps but that was back in the day when all guns were supposed to be capped at 13bps.

bushys are awsome guns, infact they are on my list of guns that i want.

there is no way to mechanically cap a electro-pnumatic marker. there may be contributing factors as to why it wont cycle above a certain rate (LPR flow rate and pressure, Noid flow rate and switching time, ram mass, etc) but if you replace the board with an uncapped board and get all the parts that are limiting ROF replaced, it will fire fast (not that 18 BPS isnt fast)

i believe it has something to do with the bko using a spring to return the bolt to its orginal position.

im pretty sure that it has to do with the fact that the bko has a 2 way noid unlike the bushy and impy which have 4 way noids

if a spyder can cycle over 20BPS with a spring, I doubt that is a limiting factor, i could be wrong

ill add my 2cents since I have owned a few markers inclduding a bko.

BKO wirring hanress, simliar to the b2k, suck and the stock inline is equally as bad. You will HAVE TO upgrade both of those. additionally you need either a halo or pds to stop the chops. I have the blind bolt and I dont think its that great.

                  new v. new
I just found out that CCM is selling the SV for under 400 bucks. If i knew that I would have never bought a bko.

                  new v. used
I dont think you can beat a used angel for the price. ALL angels are killer guns for under 5oo bucks. I would suggest a 2k1 and up lcd. I dont think resale is that big of an issue with a used angel. You buy cheap and you will loose allot less in the end. the only thing that isnt high quality on an angel is the anno. Sometimes you can find good deals on used vikings for not much more than 500.

It has to do with the solenoid. It can not cycle more than 18 times in a second. If you'd like more info, you can search like the rest of us would have to.

and as I said, if you replaced the limiting factor with a faster component it will be jsut as fast as anything else.........

And then it's not a BKO anymore. That's the chief difference between the BKO and the B2K, the operation of the noid.
