    Removing ULE feedneck?

I just got a ccm no rise to replace the one on my ule and I don't have a strap wrench to get it off. So is there another way to get it off without damaging it? Or should I just go and get a strap wrench?

Alright thanks, I'll run out later and get one. One more thing should I put any threadlocker on the feedneck?

loctite isnt necessary in most cases, i have no loctite on my feednecks, and the only way i can get them to get loose is to shove an oversized halo into them and twist.

Really not necessary at all, just screw it on tight & off you go.

Ok the strap wrench is not working. It is not gripping the feedneck to well. Any suggestions? This thing just does not want to come off.

That's what I'm doing, but the wrench doesn't grip to well and it starts slipping.

you CAN use pliers or a vice grip IF you tighen it all the way AND you put a cloth inbetween the pleirs and the metal. that will usually not scratch the metal. thats only if the strap wrench can't gget it off

if you cant get it out drill a hole though it and put a rod though the holes and twist.

they must have used a lot of loctite on yours i just took one off of a ule yesterday with a strap wrench. it was tight but nothing like you have here. lucky you

A cheat to use here is to pull the strap out and use that as a protective strap only and then use a pipe wrench or a pair of mole grips. Be warned though that you may find that the feedneck currently installed may well be loctited in place so you need to heat it up using a flame thrower type lighter...hairdryers don't work as they don't get the body/feedneck hot enough and for those that jump in a say they use a hairdryer all the time...you didn't need to use any heat in those case's so you are kidding yourselves that you needed the hairdryer

Yeah just like my trigger pin was a pain to get out.

Well I not going to drill a hole. So I'll try the strap from the wrench and some pliers. I'll try a heat gun first if that does't work then I'll dig out my torch.
