Mech... like a mag... bc in rec-ball u can boost up the pressure and fire 18 bps w/o chopping :-D Only for big games though.. other then that i would say that 13 bps is as high as u need to get.

        Hmmm

I play Rec/Scenario only and have 4 electros (Angel, Intimadator, 99-Shocker SF, Rainmaker). Just because you CAN shoot quite fast doesn't mean you HAVE to. I rarely shoot over 10 BPS, normaly quite slower. Lighting up newbies (or anyone for that matter) is a matter of self controll, not what your marker can do. It's the same with the guys that use FA in Senario/Big games, they need to have some self control or will be pulled for over-shooting.

I like using the electros for the reliability and the "option" of shooting fast, comes in handy in the huge final battles. I also use a few different mech markers too, Pro-Ams, Stroker, Semi-SideKicks, an old Traccer Pump. I think it comes down to what the player feels confident with and what's the most reliable.

        So I vote both!

I think it doesn't matter, just find a good deal on a good gun thats easy to maintain.

Come on it's rec ball! People are going to have 98 custom rentals out there! They can't shoot 10+ bps! Why would you need electric?

E = straighter shot because there no pull really.

Thats a tough question for me. I have pretty much always used and prefered a mech marker. I still do in the "backyard" games and woodsball that goes on around here.

But the "rec" ball at my local field is a little bit different. There are quite a few very seasoned players , along with teams that regularly play during the rec ball sessions. Many team practices happen before open play on Sundays. So generally what happens is that the field will break into two groups. Noobies play elsewhere if they like, so as to avoid getting creamed.

I was able to keep up and stay competitive with my RTP , but I must say the recent purchase of a Matrix brought the possibilities of my game to a whole new level. Not to say that I am any better , or that using loads of paint all the time is an acceptable method of play. I don't spray and pray. But off the break , or for team movement that high ROF comes in handy. Especially when you are playing other good players using that advantage against you.

So I will vote mech , thats what I like to use , but it isn't always possible.

I generally play rec with touney and other experienced players, so I run two E's...

I'd say it depends on the mood of the day. If I'm playing with the "big guns" I'll drag the Angel out, otherwise I'll use any of my mechs depending on what I feel like playing with. Mostly with the rec crowd, and even some tourney guys, mech's all that's needed.

no, that doesnt make to much sense, its like saying pump markers are very inacurate, because you have to pump, and what about the hair trigger? so i dont really think that electro vs mech even has that much to do with trigger pull

Hold a mech gun cocked aim straight ahead and pull the trigger. You'll end up pushing the gun a tiny bit which will throw off your aim. Now a do the same thing except this time tap the trigger(basically the pull if a 25 gram E response trigger), the gun will not be disturbed at all by the pull resulting in a straighter shot.

well not really for me, and what if the gun is using a bipod or something? and besides thier are very light mech triggers like the hair, or tippmann rt, besides recoil is the thing that will most disrupt your aim

                            Electro all the way

Well, I hadn't tried out my Emag in rec play before last weekend at AO mid atlantic and I have to say I liked it. Had about 4 people firing at me at one time in the woods when I was stuck in a little bunker and I know the extra balls and less kick helped me win that haha. Getting a 4 round snap off quickly was very necessary in that situation and the E definately made that possible whereas my RT would not have been as efficient. Besides that situation it definately helped me in the course of the day where I would normally say "gah I wish I coulda gotten an extra ball off"

bipod...If you like laying down I guess its okay :) RTs still have a pull to them. As for the hair trigger thats gona cost alot of money, probably 250 ish.

And I think mechs are also defective when it comes to chopping, the only true antichop solution is a vision eye in the chamber of the gun.

Well i only play rec, and i only shoot mechanical.

I dont need to spray at my field, just a bunch of people playing for fun.
