High paint prices allow people to get fields off the ground in a timely manner.

also allow small fields to make profits, pay back loans. etc.

allow big fields to make supernormal profits.

I can understand the first too dave, but blitz is owned by air america!!! they are possibly one of the bigest reg/tank manufacturing companies...

and super normal profits are just people being damn greedy... and i think its ruining it for alot of newbs/people that want to play pb

I think someone answered the question when they said that the cheaper field is too far to drive to...

Paintball fields have to pay rent, or buy the land. Those costs are spread out to all the products/services sold. Paintball fields have to pay employees. Most businesses have owners/investors that would like money back on their investment.

You could order some paint of the internet and go play on your uncle's farm very cheaply. Ooops, forgot your uncle doesn't have fill stations, and somebody has to sit out in order to ref. There is a church near my house that plays in the 10 acre forest behind their building, they even have air, but no referees or a chrono so personally I prefer to goto the real field that is near my house and has established fields and good refs and all the supplies that I need.

alright paintchucker... i agree with u, but then how do some fields charge much less for paint then others???? i know that some do have alot of stuff to pay for but some just dont... blitz for example has 3 fields, air, and a few ppl working, but charge more for paint and entry than ccpaintball which is indoor, has many more ppl working, air, and has their carpet cleaned once an month, not to mention is a bit cheaper than blitz

At Outdoor Adventures is like $23 for walk-ons and all day air, $18 for all day air if your team practice. Don't know what the field paint is, cause I just bring my own. Plus Bad Company practices every Sunday.

I have found that pretty much all of the fields in Northern VA charge about $50-$65 for medium quality paintballs. I can't imagine pay $140 for a case, I just could play if it were that much.

the reason they charge so much is because that is the way they make their money. i live in FL and i go to a paintball field that is sponcred by a church called righteous paintball in jupiter farms they charge u 5 buks to get in and u can bring YOUR OWN paint thats why i only go their but the only reason its high price iz cuz thats they way the field makes its money.

Paint cost $104 for a case for Diablo Blaze at my local field....but that is in the caves. They have an outdoor field and i think they use Big Ball all summer long and it cost like 65 a case... that is a big diff.

exactly..... i would rather pay like 65 a case than 100 a case....... grrr... and what makes it even worse is i dont have a job, cause no one in my area will let a 14 year old work, so i can only pb like once ever few months at a real field....

Wow! That stinx! Over $100 for paint!? The "expensive" paint around here is like $70 and $75.
Oh, and fields are breaking more than even on paint. I work for a field, and they get paint for around $40 and sell it for like $60 and $70 a case.

                              ENDO!

$100 DOLLARS A CASE!?!?!?!?!?! That is rediculous. We can buy marbs for like 70 and that is one of the best paintballs in the industry. Nutz open your own field man you could make a killing if you charged $10 less than all of them. But that is still unbelievable.
