u guys get it nice. for filed paint here in philly, its like 80 for a case of like 32 degrees, but if u go to the store before u go play, its like 80 for marbs so it pays to go to the store before u play. its 15 bucks to get in and 10 bucks for an all day air pass. so i wish people woldn't complain about paint prices if they're under 60 dollars. anyway i wish paint would come down inprice.

I agree that some fields do seem to find a way to get that extra $15-20 bucks out of you. LOL...

One field sells premium paint for $107/case 2000 $10 field fee for walk ons plus about 3 bucks a fill (I shoot about two tanks).

The other field is only about $85 a case for premium paint, but it is 20-30 minutes further drive...

It is funny though, players have *****ed about paintball prices for as long as I have played paintball. I been playing since 1992. But maybe the extra money for the paint is what has kept those fields there for us to play on. :)

BTW, I sometimes shoot marbs when I play with a church group near my house, and to be honest, I would rather spend the extra and shoot the expensive stuff cause it doesn't seem to cause as many problems. Maybe I am just not getting fresh marbs, cause they always seem not quite as round as the premium paint.

I can buy a case of BigBall for 50 at my local store, but the fields charge so much money...like 5 dollars per 100, and you have to use their paint. On one fields website, in the FAQ section, one of the questions is "Why do you have to use field paint" and the answer is "we could give u a hundred reasons why but the main reason is to stay in business" This world is all about money

You guys want to hear a really bad one? I only have two indoor arenas within a one hour drive, next closest is over three hours(Denver). The one in town charges $25 a bag(500) for Proball or $75 for a case, which is not really all that bad, but his course is so small it is dangerous. The other field is much bigger, at least that's what I hear, but when I called to check on a game and get details I found out they get $120 a case for 32* comp paint!! You can order that crap for $35 a case from 888paintball!! They also get $.50 an ounce for co2 and $8 field fee. This is an hour drive from where I live. This is why we order our paint from paintballgear.com and play renegade outdoor ball, at least after the spring thaw we will play outdoors.

I play at a field called colors in fremont michigan. The field fee is 10 bucks. most paints they sell are 60, 75 for some of the high quality paints. They make most of their money from paint. People come from all around to buy their paint because it is cheaper. The have to order paint more often but it is worth it to them because they make more money that way

Nutz speaks the truth. I actually thought this was universal all over. I know paint is the profit product for the fields and even some stores.
Even Badlandz charges the high entry fee.

I think paint, even retail (read bought from a store or site), needs some revolutionizing. Prices need to come down. This would help make paintball more accessable for many. How? I don't know - I'm an RF Engineer. Someone can come up with something sometime.

Don't whine about this stuff. you all whine and complain that ,"this world is all about money". Off course it is, do feilds run business out of the goodness of their heart to make little kids happy? No, they need to make money as well.
So why not drive the extra 20 minutes to save 30 dollars? unless you get paid 90 dollars and hour, that is saving you money with the sacrifice of time.
Why did you buy your equipment only to come and whine about not affording to play?

This is just people not being proactive with their finances and being unable to deal with paintballs setbacks and sacrifices for fun and competition.

So next time you make a poor decision or can't afford something, I don't want to have to listen to you whine about it and your lack of ability to get a job on these forums, cause the rest of us can manage, so you should to or else you werent fit to be a frequent, gun owning player.

                  Thanx,

We are not talking about making a few bucks here, at least I am not. I would be happy to support the local guys if their markup was reasonable, but this is just an outright rip-off. Three to four times the retail price is ridiculous.

Fields have to make money full stop, to pay for their overheads and then make some profit at the end of the year.

Now they can do this by charging high entrance or high paint or a combination of the two, what do you want?

Paint could be 60 bucks a case but only if you pay more in entrance.

Comparing field prices to store prices is unrealistic. I cna go to an off license and buy a pint for 1 pound but in the pub next door it costs me 2pounds plus.
Is this unfair? no, u pay to drink the pint in the pub, for someone to pour it, a glass to put it in.

The store selling u paint does not care about where u shoot it, ever tried palying a game in front of their counter? guess they wouldn't be too impressed.

You need to look at the bigger picture, then you will see some justification for their pricing.

so nutz, you liked weekend warriors ? they have just moved there not long ago. i think the fields are coming along nice tho. sorry i could not make it to play but i was out of town for work.

i used to live in desplaines area in illinois and would go to badlandz to play. blitz is a rip off, he does not pay that much rent, the land can not be built on because it is a wetland.

paintball sams in wisconsin is about the same price as blitz but better fields.

some fields that say you can bring field paint also sell paint at a normal mark up, those are the ones that i go to and i buy paint from them also.

how much do you all think it cost to run a field ? most fields not all are out in the country with cheap rent. do the math i think they are doing alright
most of the owners also have full time jobs

                                at my local feild...

feild paint is $120 plus like $35 for rental stuff, but if u have ur own gear its all coo cause they sell store prices. But if you want discounts or anything you have to buy paitn from them at $120. And my local I&I sports sells Marbs for $75 and rps premium for $69. So its expensive over here, if only I had a credit card to order...
You smell like dookie... No really though.
