if youve already decided what one youre going to get, what are you asking everyone? and im sure all cameras are good for taking video, since that is what they are designed to do...
-
if you want to make nice looking movies i would suggest a Mini DV camera.

(blackweenie)What your saying is basically in a camera world.... that all cameras are created equally? LOL! Thats the same as saying a talon is as good as an X-mag in the paintball world....

Simply put, no that will not take good paintball videos. It will take, eh, quality vids. If you want a decent camera, spend the money. 3CCD cams are getting cheap these days. Panasonic has some real afordable 3CCD cams. These will give you a MUCH higher res image and handle light a lot better.
Remember, you get what you pay for.
Edit: Here is a good cam for a very small price.
Also, what you were showing is NOT a Mini-DV cam. Mini-DV is a digital tape. A lot more reliable then solid state media. Not to mention the cost of tapes are pretty low.

I am also looking to get a camera. One of my friends is a mac freak so he can edit stuff really nice, and also at my school there is a video production class so they have all the equiptment to plug the camera into it and edit, add songs, etc, and pop it out on a DVD disc, pretty sweet stuff. I dont know a whole lot about video cameras, just regular cameras I have a cannon rebel. from reading the posts i see i should get a miniDV, ill look around and post up one that catches my eye and fits my pockets.
and what is 3CCD??Ender's Violent/Hybrid Alias: 14" Stiffi, Frenzy116, Critical Trigger, VPp Torp HPR, Hybrid LPR w/ VPp, hybrid ARC
STOP PLAYING WITH MY SIG ITS NOT TOO BIG

It's the sensor that captures the image. Digital vid cams use either CCD's or CMOS's to capture the image (gather light and convert it into 1's and 0's that the camera processor can read). When the light is captured, the sensor determines the colors (Red, Green, and Blue) and sends these on to the processor to produce a picture. That one sensor needs to gather all three colors of light and try to process them all at the same time. It has to make sure that it does not wash out one color with another and so forth.
Where a 3CCD camera comes in to play is that you have 3 CCD sensors, each one devoted to a color (again, Red, Green, and Blue). Because of this, the picture will have more detail and a truer color representation.
