Oh so true! I have been making my videos on a Sony DSR PD150 from the start. looks MUCH nicer than our old hi-8 camera (yeah that is a pretty big tech jump but it's still very clear).Originally posted by MuzikmanSimply put, no that will not take good paintball videos. Basically all I am concerned with is this: Will that camera recorrd a good video with no skiips and DECENT quality? I mean im sure it does. Also, im sure that the others you listed are great but I just didnt wanna spend that much money on a cam.Proud owner of two mags :clap: :headbang:

NO it doesnt have to be mini dv. Im sure z-man and the other dude were just telling us their humble opinion, which i respect. But, you dont HAVE to have a mini-dv to record a decent pball vid im sure of.Proud owner of two mags :clap: :headbang:

As long as what ever you buy has playback capabilites I am sure it will work. The question is how good of quality will it be. A $150 MPEG recoreder is not going to be high quality. I mean a digital camera with a "video" mode can work to record paintball...will it look good, no probably not.

Also if your going for broke Sony Just released a new HDV cam,FX1. Consumer Cam thats 3ccd and does 1080i High def. And only for a mere $3500 But the picture is amazingComment
