but can i cut the power feed on a clasic mag, so that my hoopper doesn't stick out as much. and if so how would i go about doing that? i was thinking maybe a copper saw, but i wasn't sure if maybe i'd need a torch.
probably dumb question

I'm sure you could do it, but it might not look too pretty when your done. Try a table saw or maybe a miter saw.Dust Green X-Mag #315

?!! i hope that was a joke, because that is dangerous and almost impossible to do cleanly. use a pipe cutter. a hack saw would work, but it wouldnt be as clean.Originally posted by SkywalkerI'm sure you could do it, but it might not look too pretty when your done. It can be done, I have done it. I used a hacksaw, marked of 5/8" +/-, cut, then filed the edges clean. Then I had the body chromed, but you can polish it.(I went the lazy way and paid for shiney

i used a chop saw, then i sanded down the burrs with a dremel."Ah yes, I have one of the 32*rebels that I always take to big scenario games. It keeps the truck from rolling if I have to park on a hill." - automikey

or you can just have Luke turn your standard feed body into a vert feed body like this:
It looks great and works even better. Gives you a clear line of site and you can still use powerfeed barrels on it. Click on the link in my sig about custom work to find out more.

I would use a pipe cutter, or a hacksaw then sand down the edges to take off any possible burrs.
