    Very High Pressure Automag?

This got lost/ignored in another thread, so I though I'd revive it here.

Some of us had different inserts for the air chamber depending what type of game was being palyed (indoor, outdoor, 3,5,7, or 10 man)
    Cool.

    Anyone have more details?

What happened to the idea? Why wasn't it commercialised, or was it? TK has often said that he could make a smaller more efficient marker with higher pressures, but I'd never seen any physical evidence of prototypes or testing.

The only references to "hypermag" I've found involve the hyperframe, not a high pressure marker.

That sounds pretty cool. Wonder why it never took off [other than needing a tank that'll output up there]

I can't imagine how could you access air chamber to put inserts in here.

Well, the power tube is threaded onto the middle of the valve (the dump chamber).

If this was true, I can tell you why it never went into production. Tom said the mag already had a reputation for be a high pressure marker. By doing this, it only made the reputation worse.

you may increase effciency, however you are decreasing the amount of useable air in the tank offsetiing any advantage gained by better effciency.

They did exist - I've discussed them with Tom - they are the anti-"smart-mag" valve (smaller than stock dump chamber vs. the Smartmags larger...) and very rare. I'd like to have one if I could ever find one. Every time I see "hypermag" in the classified forum it is for a mag with a hyper frame.

They hypermag was made by Fox River Games which ended up turning into Centerflag products. Dennis would be the one to contact about production numbers and it was mostly a conversion rather then production runs. I dontthink it ran at 900 it was most along the line of 500 ( remember the AC in a classic mag is only really seeing 350-400 psi and a Smart Mag was 300-350 ish maybe a tad lower )
