Rumor: Bob long to expose cheater board users

By publishing a list, wouldn't it make the company liable, and open themselfs up to law suites? It would wouldn't make since to publish the "known cheaters," What if they are wrong about one person who didn't cheat (I'm sure most of the people are guilty of it). The magazine would probably lose sponcers over an this type of artical too. No major company wants to avertise the fact their flag ship teams cheating (i could be wrong about this now a days).

Who really cares if an individual or a team is using a quote,"cheater board"? As more of these are on the field it becomes the norm. Back when the RT first came out it I suppose it was considered by many a quote,"cheater gun". When the Emag came out no one in the AGD camp said, "Tom take it back it's too fast"! Now that AGD has nothing even close to the speed of new high end factory markers let along inhanced ones and everyone seems to have a gripe. If AGD was to make (in our dreams) a 30+ bps marker that ramped. Very few us would complain. Not so long ago a ref said to me my emag was too fast. I told him the rest of the players markers were too slow and maybe they should up-grade to something faster. It is all about evolution and ones ability to adapt. In this case with your wallet.

I made a statement, not a complaint - I have shot rebound Shockers - I ordered a DevilMag for the ramping abilities of the predator board in a mag.

I agree 100% with Doc on this, I seriously dont see Bob committing ritualistic suicide in this manner simply because far too many people know about the Ironmen only issued board that you were required to return upon leaving the team.

WAS bounced. That was due to the user incorrectly using the software. WAS never came from the factory with modes..

"Dialing-in" bounce is a smoke-and-mirrors term to make it sound like a legitimate way to tune the marker, that supposedly is not intentional cheating. In my opinion - "debounce" settings cannot be attributed to the behavior of the markers I've played with - at least, not fully. Just about any software that let's you "dial-in" the bounce - is actually doing something else besides literally adjusting true debounce settings.

this will quiet funny.. to me anyway.. could be even more then 32 pages, i wonder what the league's will do when they find this out and let the players play anyway

There's a problem with this type of "naming" of people, even if it's done. Well, actually 2-3, but I'll focus on this :

1st, nobody cares. Paintball "pros" want the bad-boy image, they want people to know that they have no problems incapacitating people on the field of play. If they got named, they'd probably take it as a boost to their career.

2nd, how do you refute any claim made against you in print? It's in a magazine, it must be true, right? I mean, he could easily say "Tyger uses a cheater board in his e-mag." And how exactally do I prove I do not? How do I do so without the backing of a magazine? It's lose/lose. I am guilty long before I can profess my innocence, at least in the realm of public opinion.

Without proof there's danger in the name & shame style of journalisim, both to the source and the victim. Incredible claims require incresible proof.

You don't need a board to cheat on an E-Mag, it's called hybrid.

We (gz) were penalised I think twice last year for illegal guns, as were the teams we were playing. So what? I'm fairly certain we were the last team in the league to get sketchy software, and I'm fairly certain that a team using intimidators were the first!
