    The Thorums weren't meant for everyone, although anyone is welcome to sign up.

    I made them for a specific group of people when the Black Cell forums went downhill. They were made for me and my friends, period. If other people came and liked what they saw and stuck around, all the better. But I never set out to keep anyone happy other than a small group of people whose input helped set the Thorums up how they are now.

    A lot of the Thorums members hang out in real life, or have hung out in real life. Jdev and rkjunior came down to Jersey a few weeks ago just to hang out and party.

    So, if you don't like them, don't go there. A forum like AO has to try to keep everyone happy. Me, on the other hand, I don't have to keep anyone happy. The Thorums fit a niche that apparently you aren't part of, so don't get your panties in a bunch over it.

      Yep. If you have crap talked about you over there...well, that's just about tough, isn't it.

        and this is part of the problem. I find it ironic that the people who piss and moan about AO are still here! The only people we have to blame on AO are its members. I have posted this about a dozen times, you want things to change, then change yourself.

          No. The established members should not have to change just to coddle a few stupid bastards that shouldn't even have access to the internet.

            I believe GT is implying that some users attempts to thin the herd are counter-productive.

            Remember the rash of gif and smilie posts last year when Mango was active and goofing off? Often, the newer, younger "stupid bastards that shouldn't even have access to the internet" emulate the more well-known, or "cooler" members.

            I mean, noone invented

            "/ironic comment
            //not really".

            Yet, here we are, using these and other conventions, trends, whatever.

            There are trends on boards, and people will follow them in various interpretations.

            /eh, forget it, lets kill em all
            God....I guess I was probably returning videotapes.
